I want to start this by saying I enjoyed 80% of the game, and I would recommend buying it when it’s on sale (as of now it’s on sale for $6). I put just about 20 hours in the game and up until hour 18, I was having a blast. This game does not hold your hand which is sometimes very frustrating when you have no idea what something is for or how something works, but it also makes it clear that you can play your way. For myself personally, that meant prioritizing the tavern and not dealing with the quests other than the first ones for each character/animal. I suck at combat and by the time I completed the first round of bears, wasps, and toads, my tavern was already in the high 30s, had almost every recipe unlocked, every room and decoration unlocked, and I was no longer getting rewards for new levels. I decided to explore and (spoiler alert) found another building that looked like an upgraded tavern, different layout, more rooms perhaps and got excited that eventually I’d be able to buy it and run a second tavern, maybe with a different menu. Nope. That’s apparently not part of the game. I thought maybe it’s coming, nope. It’s been almost 3 years since the games release and the only meaningful update has been more dungeons which get tedious and old almost immediately. The game itself is very short and knowing that I’m just expecting to do the same things over and over again with no reward system or story focused updates has me uninstalling it. This felt like a cheap way to launch a game as the devs clearly have no vision of where to take the it next and clearly don’t play their own game or they would notice how unusually fast you can level up your tavern without even having to talk to an NPC other than the merchant. I still don’t even have the fish available in the game because the stones kept bugging out when trying to collect them from the dams. Unbelievably disappointed cause there’s so much potential.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Let's not abuse the "recently updated" section to promote discounts when you haven't actually pushed an update, eh?
Personally, my favorite tavern style game. I mean look at the hours I put in. I honestly spent majority of my time prepping food and serving customers, it brings me joy. My little tavern became so cramped with serving tables as i was big into prepping. Staying on top your our menu and ingredients is a must. I had so many meals prepped I could leave my tavern open while i went to go get ingredients. As there isn't an obvious timer on guests (which I appreciate), you can make these super cozy and just go at your own pace or you can go nuts trying to serve everyone. I love that you can just focus on the food or go adventuring if you want. I still haven't finished all the quests or the dungeon. I would love being able to build the tavern space more and especially the rooms. And yes, building out the world would be awesome as well. Maybe I can have a chain of taverns!
Great concept but heavy AI throughout all of it, which was super noticeable from the script to voice acting and made the game significantly less enjoyable.

So I'm a bit conflicted on how I feel about this. It's not a *bad* game per se as I had some fun with it, but it's also certainly not a good game. It has a bunch of different components, but none of it feels particularly well thought-out and some of the systems are tedious or seemingly randomly tacked on. On paper the game has a fair few things to do, even a story of sorts. But in practice all of this falls flat. Cooking is just gathering materials and waiting for timers, combat is... just flat out bad, alchemy is 90% useless, farming is tedious in a way that never improves, fishing is... certainly a mechanic that you will tooootally do again after you get fish traps... Guests cannot be interacted with and might as well be anonymous orders coming in, the dungeons also feel largely pointless and the world is pretty boring to navigate once you get a feeling for its layout. Most of the fun in this game will probably have to come from whoever you are playing together with. I really think that instead of tacking on new components, the developer would do well to just rework what they have into something more coherent, polished and fun.
Very fun with added stress. No real punishments for failure to manage the tavern. Easy achievements. Kind people who like to help you manage your tavern :) Only downside is limited content and potentially a malicious player could join if you leave your tavern public.
The game is cute and fun but if you intent on playing single player, the balancing is awful imo. Combat is an absolute nightmare as you can't actually sprint and you have no ability to wear armor or permanently increase your health. You can do a little "dodge" but I'll "dodge" a bear's attack and be fully away and still get hit for an unreasonable amount of damage. The block function claims that when you block it'll negate 100% of damage and I've died several times while blocking. Fishing is such a fun mechanic but the you MUST fish the space before they reset. You need to slog through catching 40+ MORE pufferfish before the other fish you need to actually cook start spawning. Love the little server and cleaning companions but there's nothing so far to automate any farming, cooking, or brewing. The fishing traps being stored under furniture with the merchant to me implied it didn't have a durability like all of the other objects in that category so imagine my surprise when the thing shattered and I had to pay ANOTHER 1750 coins which is almost as much as the helper companions! The game is so cute and I don't dislike it, I just feel like I'm fighting for my life when I'm on my own and it's making me not want to play. I feel like if you offer as both Multi and Single player you really need to make sure it can be balanced for the single players. I've played for 9 hours and nothing is getting easier to handle even with upgrades. I'm struggling to run this tavern on two meals and two drinks and don't have a CHANCE in combat even with food and potions.
