The most devious and acclaimed artificial intelligence in strategy gaming is better than ever. A grand strategy/RTS hybrid that reverses many conventions of both genres. Take territory without attracting attention, build your empire with care, and adapt to an ever-evolving galactic battleground.

I change this if u fix multiplayer
AI War 2 is a true masterpiece of design, one of the most impressive games ever created. In particular, it is a more board gamey take on a 4x grand strategy game. If micromanagement and meaningless but necessary decisions bother you, but you love optimization, this game will be for you. Also look at this game if you want to be able to have huge-feeling campaigns over the course of just a few hours. If you like tactical decisions, it's probably not for you. There are tactics involved, especially in creating a tower defense or selecting an effective roster of ships, but the main way you will handle combat is by putting all of your ships into one or two blobs and slamming them into the enemy. Its mechanics are a bit odd, but they are genius. This changes if you add expansion content, but by default, you are an insurgency, trying to grow strong as efficiently as possible, because every action you take makes the AI stronger as well. You will never be as strong as the AI, but you can become strong enough to topple its homeworlds, before it truly focuses on eradicating you. The opponent you are facing is designed is completely transparent in how it functions, once you are familiar with the game, but there's no cheating those systems, only taking advantage of them to eke out every advantage you can find. It is also a bit hard to get into, but honestly, with the tutorials, a bit of trial and error, and a few questions on the Discord server or steam forum, you can't go wrong with learning the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've had this game in my library for some time. Every now and then I try to go back to it. Never get past the tutorial , which is quite confusing in itself. Maybe I'm getting old but this is too convoluted for me. I really want to like this game because it looks really good but even after following the tutorial I have no idea what the hell is going on.
Actually good AI. Paradox/CIV players that are used to building fortresses for AI to beat their head against - this doesn't work. Expand too quickly - and the game will be over just as quickly. Winning is very satisfying though
I just don't get this game. It's an RTS where i dont decide when or what units to build, I appear to have no direct input into the combat. People say there is great strategic depth to the game but I really don't see it. All I seem to be deciding is where to send my fleets and what turrets to build round stations, its feels like stellaris minus the empire management and lore so just largely non-interactive combat. The music is awesome and the AI is impressively smart but it's just kind of dull.
Excellent strategy game without the inconviniencies of micro-management. Well balanced and exciting in mid- and late game as well due to the transparently increasing difficulty (AIP floor).

More bugs than Florida. Spent 7 hours playing for it to decide it will no longer register my ships to click on any more. Had to start over from the beginning. The AI cheats. All of a sudden they go from having 100 to 200 units to 5000 within a 90 sec period. Just a bad game.
Good replay value and wide range of difficulties.
I sure wish i was smart enough for this game. It's super fun, though!
