About

Brilliant, burnt-out, possibly cursed – you play as operant Hershel Wilk, alias CASCADE. Five years ago you led your team into the abyss and have been haunted by your failures ever since. Now you've been recalled for a mysterious assignment that may give you a chance to prove yourself again.

Uncover secrets hidden in the lost corners of the city and within your own mind. Navigate a murky world of potential informants and adversaries. Pass skill checks to uncover their true motivations through subterfuge, violence, or deduction. As an operant, there are multiple ways to approach every problem - your choices and methods will be your own, and so will the consequences.

Find yourself thrown into a three-way struggle for cultural and ideological power, played out across an unforgettable city. You'll go up against international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers, a paranoid TV presenter, a man with a box for a heart, and dozens more. Everyone you meet has their own agendas, beliefs, and secrets for you to uncover and turn to your own ends. In ZERO PARADES, even the world itself is a character with its own secrets, traumas, and miracles for you to discover.

Operants subject themselves to years of psychological training to hone their minds into their greatest weapons. Do you favor animal-like reflexes, a philosophical approach, or a different cover story for every occasion? Through Conditioning, you'll turn the deepest aspects of Hershel's identity into potent abilities and unlock new paths forward. You can even change the rules of the game itself.

Pressures simulate the physical and psychological toll of being in-theatre. Exertion pushes dice rolls in your favour – just remember that you’re gambling with your life. Keep your Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium in check or deal with the long-term repercussions.

In this line of work you're going to fail way more often than you succeed. That much is expected of you. What matters is how you pick yourself back up. If the dice don't go your way (and they won't) you'll have to improvise and hope the consequences are ones you can live with.

Good game, great that its voiced and well done at that. My only issue with the game is that the story can be very, very confusing and it can be very hard to follow along. I did not have the same problem with Disco version. But on the whole I am enjoying the game, so I would still recommend.

Really enjoyed. Quite different in themes from Disco Elysium, although gameplay almost identical (except in some specific "action" scenes). I played the demo when it came out, so I was a bit more prepared to the world. A perpetual Cold War is a great setting, and Portofiro is a great "proxy" theater for the struggle between superpowers. There's a certain level of replayability around different endings and specific branching moments. Good art and the main female voice over grew on me over time.
A great Disco-like. I really enjoyed this and think it is a fitting successor. No matter what you may think about the ZA-UM drama, it's a great game with a lot of polish, and it is absolutely worth your time. Very glad I played and hope that the game is financially successful so the studio can keep making competent & fun games.
Младшая внебрачная сестра диско. Игра неплохая, получилась такой, какой получилась. своим сюжетом отражает Портофиро, в которое превратилась студия, опрокинув создателей диско.
im not done but i dont know why ppl hate the main va so much, she doesnt sound that bad (tho they have a backup va or something for the mc who has a much nicer voice that only appears every now and then for some reason. they dont even have similar voices so i dont understand the point of it but anyway) it scratches the itch that disco elysium gave me, tho ofc its not gonna be the same
It may not be Disco but this game great
Absolute masterpiece of art. Deep, dark yet cozy, very honest, multilayered meanings. Dreamy. I wish more games like Dysco Elysium and Zero Parades... Intelligent, magnetic, full of taste. Thank you.
If you loved Disco Elysium, this game is really worth playing. It's not on exactly the same level, but they're playing on the same field.
I understand the criticism regarding that "The game was stolen from the devs" and I understand the review bombing associated. Take away that fact, these narrative games (both Disco Elysium and Zero Parades) deserve praise for the stories they tell. They both delve into unique political theories, world building, and well built characters that fit in the worlds they're presented in. The hook of both games is weak compared to the monumental amount of world building the game tries to present in a video game format, and for those that endure, the payoff is worth it. Every character becomes etched into your mind as a potential opportunity, witness, and OPERANT, that will serve the protagonists ultimate objective. Every one of the thousands of choices of dialogue becomes a conscious decision that effects the outcome of the main story and it's a exciting task that may lean towards the best possible outcome for the protagonist and their surrounding characters. Evaluation, understanding, and your own personality, all have an influence that create a sense of purpose with each of your decisions. For those that are interested in exploring a mystery, play this game. For those that are willing to look past the mistakes it made with it's former devs, play this game. It's worth the full price and completion of it more so than Disco Elysium was worthy of theirs. Tread carefully OPERANT, and enjoy.
