Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA

Impressive game, good controlling, excellent story. Building the town makes me feel a sense of accomplishment. The ancient kingdom is also very charming, the building reminds me of Angkor Wat, very elegant. If you are also full of curiosity and want to have an adventure, I'd suggest you that this game is perfect for you.

Suele ser el Ys favorito, y lo entiendo. No coincido con ellos, pero sé apreciar el pedazo de juego que es. La historia y los personajes son maravillosos y el sistema de combate es mejor aún que el de Celceta. Ricotta es Calilica 2.0, best girl ever

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was an aggressively average game to me, a 6 or 6.5 out of 10 for me. The story is a little interesting towards the back half but the first half of the game is a whole lot of nothing interesting and is slow to build up. The characters, while likable, aren't very memorable. The combat is reasonably fun but feels pretty mindless if you're not playing on a harder difficulty. In the end I feel that Ys VIII is just an inoffensive but still pleasant JRPG that just scrapes on by.
