Reviews
One of the greatest Turnbased Strategy Game following the original X-Com Game with new Mechanics (like RTS-based UFO Interception). Recommended!
Basically an update to the original x-com. I am loving the turn based combat n simplified loadouts compared to the original.

Its a good game and worth your time if you're an enjoyer of old-school xcom. It lacks some variety / horizontal progression in the lategame but that's the dev's vision, they like it dry and static ig. There's still enough fun surprises and variety, esp in the enemies and their tactics / weapons / etc, to be worth enjoying for dozens if not hundreds of hours. Play the community edition branch (it's in the beta's selection in the steam properties for the title), it has bug fixes and important dev-approved balance changes, and is universally seen as the definitive edition of the game. If you're playing Ironman, and its your first time through, start on Normal if you're a genre veteran (old xcom, phoenix point, etc), or start on easy if you're not. When the game tells you the descriptions of each difficulty, it is assuming you are NOT playing ironman. If you are, you'll wanna move it down one tier or you're gonna have a bad time. The game is unforgiving to mistakes on both the geoscape and battlescape to a blind ironman player, and there's specifically a series of difficulty spikes at various points in the game which if not handled properly are genuinely run-bricking (improper handling of early terror missions / not rushing lasers to deal with them + androns, not knowing the tactics to regularly beat higher tier aliens without dieing, etc) that are only really learnable by trial and error, and the game isn't forgiving enough at least on veteran for that not to end your run each time you mess it up blind, which can mean a lot of replaying the same easy early game missions you've already mastered which gets tedious and boring each time a difficulty spike results in a reset. Source: 170 hours of failed blind xenonauts 1 veteran ironman playthroughs from a longtime x-com veteran before I realized this, swallowed my pride, and turned down the difficulty to normal, and then finally won after a 80-100~ hour campaign. The game is also rough around the edges in ways xenonauts 2 and other games in the genre are not; grenades are always frustratingly inaccurate and the damaging ones are only rarely worth using due to their aenemic damage, high time unit consumption to use, and high likelyhood of doing nothing - yet in spite of this are essentially mandatory to properly reduce casualties, which is often frustrating. The game is full of hidden mechanics that are not clearly communicated to the player (did you know you can press "m" to do a melee with any weapon and break windows? how about that grenades are thrown quicker and more accurately if you have an empty hand, but can actually be worse to throw if you put them in your hand before throwing instead of using the QOL quickthrow hotkey? Did you know enemies can "Hear" any actions you take through walls up to 10 tiles away, an ability your soldiers lack, and will respond to them as though they have mediocre wallhacks? etc) and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UI / QOL decisions. EG: Your soldier has been mind controlled, and because armored soldiers look the same in the same armor, looks exactly the same as many of your other soldiers. If you click on it to try to select it by accident because it looks like the others, your currently selected soldier may shoot them and instantly kill them. This has happened to me and my wife by accident multiple times. This is also basically never your intended behavior because there are far safer and better ways to deal with a mind controlled ally than shooting them. So why is this the default, rather than prompting a "are you sure you want to shoot this mind controlled friendly?" popup? Who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knows. If you complain about something like this, expect to have this game's community attack you for daring to request basic UI / QOL features in a game they love because they would NEVER make a mistake that STUPID since they've got 10,000 hours in the game and clearly you're just too CASUAL to enjoy real xcom smh my head.... Similarly, if you try to path through a teleporter to get somewhere, but an ally is in the way, the game won't let you because it would telefrag your own soldier. Great! But if that soldier gets mind controlled and you do the same thing, your soldier will gleefully telefrag them with no popup or confirmation of destructive action asking if thats what you actually intended when you get weird pathing you didnt expect instantly killing an ally. In spite of all this, it offers a tactical experience that no other games in the genre do, and is genuinely worth experiencing for that. Only xenonauts 2 offerrs something almost replacing it, but even then my wife found it lacking some of the really nice things X1 has and she missed them. YMMV.

Eu estou amando jogar!
This game is the closest to the original Xcom. It's still being worked on, and keeps improving.
