Reviews
It's still the best commercially available X-COM clone when played with a bunch of mods, namely with everything made by kabill.
Awesome retro game, takes you back to early 1990's
Fiel ao Xcom original, inclusive na dificuldade. Muito bom.

After finishing the game(on Veteran), I realize mighty Odin must be watching with his two divine ravens over the dev team. Their wisdom is displayed from on high by these great powers! Xenonauts 1 is basically the same game as Microprose's XCOM from back in '95 or so. in XCOM, there was a special material called Elerium you could only capture from intact alien ships. In Xenonauts theres also a vital resource from the aliens worlds, called Alenium, so that both the substance and its name are very similar...it seems details like this where there is a parallel to the OG is common. Tactics features, the geoscape, base building, research, engineering and mostly everything else is borrowed from the OG XCOM, is what I'm getting at. This is not a bad thing! Xenonauts 2 has a lot more going for it and is a much more real advance/step forward in this beautiful successor to one of the best games ever made, imo. as far as I can tell, If you like tactical strategy and esp if you are a fan of the old XCOM, you will like this gem. The community edition for Xenonauts 1 made the game unplayable for me, it was exceedingly unfair and made armor almost useless. Youd get 1 shotted frequently even in Predator armor. I did run into some bugs that made the game unplayable at certain junctions but after running around like a decapped chicken I was able to overcome such of this potential gamebreakers May Zeus, Odin, and the ancient deities bless this developer and their gaming community. And I can very much recommend this game. It didn't take long to beat even when save scumming and reloading if a disastrous turn happened(losing a swatch of precious elite troops) There is a dedicated Iron Man mode which could be a very pleasant, painful and demanding challenge for hardcore fans, all at once. I remember manually playing "Iron Man" in XCom as it had no actual built in feature for it...caused a lot of pain, as I remember overall Id give it 8/10 a solid entry well worth it
