Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

a good game untill xcom 3 comes out. if it ever comes out
A refreshing mix of old and new, oddly enough it's an enjoyable chapter of the XCOM franchise. I was skeptical about the new breach mechanic, and halfway through I realized it was about avoiding the 200 turns wasted in moving and overwatch spam in order NOT TO BE ASSAULTED FROM NOWHERE. And it works, it's an interesting strategic move to arrange your squad in a certain way. Pros: Gameplay is to the core still the same, possibly a bit more "personal" since every unit is unique and NOT expendable. The variety is mostly there, in essence it does feel like a good XCOM game, especially when you kit your units for the infiltration with some intel on what to expect on the mission. Factions feel thematic and coherent, perhaps a bit too coherent, mechanic units are mostly unused in 2/3 of the campaign and the only hacker in the group is left with not much to do. The combinations are quite fun to use, and they don't ALWAYS work the same way, forcing you to improvise the tiny bit to keep you on your toes. And still misclick. And waste a turn or two. The game has a sassy snake girl called Torque. It's a big plus. Cons: It's... clunky in the new mix they tried to add with the contraband, requiring tons of intel in the early game that makes it unusable until mid game at least. Kits feel clunky, but at least they offer a good variety, especially when you train your soldiers to unlock their full potential. There's no elerium hyper soldier program to give them superpowers, a shame, or no spider suits and the like... I would have loved alternative breaching points thanks to those, but I can understand the limitations. In a few moments there's an IMMENSE spike in difficulty, like in the mission in the subway against the holy shell or how the name was. It was the only time I had LOST any units beforehand and I was forced to use a robot. Too many enemies, too overcrowded, I had to stand my ground and restart the mission. Robots suck, too much investment for too little reward. Getting a trauma can cripple your squad, which is understandable, but if it happens on the wrong unit like Terminal you can kiss your heals goodbye. Weird finale, ends on a cliffhanger for another sequel? In general it seems hastly wrapped up during the last few missions. In general it's an excellent turn of events, unpolished in a few ways, but enjoyable. I played on normal with no odd modifiers, I'm not that much of a masochist. 80/100

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

XCOM: Chimera Squad is a classic XCOM style strategy game with a few large deviations from the formula. Firstly, it's a smaller game - something that the pricetag also reflects thankfully. The biggest change however is that you no longer name and customize your characters. There's 14 set "Agents" in the pool to choose from. The positive side of that is that each of the Agents has a personality and a story baked in - you get banter at the base and mid-mission as well as bits and pieces of their backstories. The negative is that if you don't jive with the writing it's gonna suck to not be able to get as invested in the squad. On the gameplay side the distinct characters also bring with them distinct, albeit paired down, skill trees. Most of them are fairly interesting, but it means you can never run two medics for example. Another weird decision that was made was gating the truly powerful (last promotion unlocks in XCOM2, etc.) behind gear. You can do missions to get "Epic" level weapons that each come with a showstopping ability attached. Missions are now broken up into "encounters", with each encounter starting with a breach - line up, kick the door in, get a chance to take out a priority target before combat starts. It's nice - makes it feel more bitesized and allows for another layer of resource management with "Breach Items". There's 2 big issues with Chimera Squad - lack of progression and repetition. At around 3/5 of the way in resource management becomes a joke - Unrest is trivially easy to keep down and you have more money, intel and elerium than you have interesting things to do with them. New weapons are pointless to research since Epic weapons already outclass everything. Utility items, while plentiful, are limited by only ever having a 4-man squad and limited inventory space. You're basically done progressing at that point and are just slogging through the (admittedly fun) missions. Which leads me to repetition. Chimera Squad has a very standard "investigate 3 factions to unlock the end boss" that was popular at the time it was made. Storywise the factions are interesting and they have different enemies for you to fight, but all the motions and objectives are roughly the same. Your tactics barely need to change one you have your A-squad. On a side note, when you defeat the faction you get access to research that will give you items that would have been useful in fighting the faction you just eliminated from the game... what? All in all, XCOM: Chimera Squad is a flawed, but fun strategy game that I will ultimately recommend because it's relatively short and only 9.99€ without discounts at the time of writing
sehr gut
.
It's just DARN fun. And the good kinda hard.
+grafika +postavy už nejsou náhodná kombinace vzhledu a jména, ale mají osobnost a vztah mezi sebou +breach +civilisté jsou zachráněni automaticky po konci bitvy bez nutnosti k nim chodit +kombinace 2D a 3D -poslední bitva s sacred coil po poražení nepřátel neskončila a bylo nutné restartovat level (podle googlu běžný bug) -během pohybu se postavy často teleportují jinam a poté zase zpět na správné místo -AI občas na několik sekund zamrzne a přemýšlí co dál -oproti předchozím dílům horší interface základny -maximum je 8 rekrutů čili nejde zaplnit volné všechny pozice na základně (když je máte odemčeny) -není vidět kolik exp zbývá do další hodnosti -občas v boji zmizí informace o postavě -nejde si prohlédnou jaké buffy a debuffy postava má
A fun spin-off of X-COM2 that is primarily combat and less management layer.
It's a good game, but a bad XCOM. The game has great ideas and is definitely fun to play, but if you are used to main-series XCOM its just...mid. It lacks the things that makes XCOM great, namely permadeath and character customisation. The story itself is actually not that bad, even tho not as good as other XCOMs. The weirdest part about the game is the dialogue tho, it switches from interesting and cool/well written banter and convos, to overly cringe parts. I don't really know what to make of it. 7/10 if you rate it as a standalone, 5/10 if you rate it as an XCOM game I do still recommend getting it, if it is on sale.
zacna, grywalna jak wszystko w tej serii
