X Rebirth VR Edition

This is a wonderfully immersive experience with full VR controller support. You can physically stand and explore the cockpit and interact with all the screens and controls in front of you. Performance is great. This delivers what I hoped to get out of No Man's Sky and Elite Dangerous, but never could. Be sure to use the correct Steam controller bindings (provided by the community for most controllers). Be patient as you learn the controls. It will only take a few minutes, but they aren't quite what you would expect. Quick tip: default binding for "select" is to click down on the right thumb stick. Once you get the hang of it, you will come to love the control scheme. For me, I had to find the menu option for UI scale and turn it down to 1 (From 3) in order to make certain icons a manageable size. Also, I set the graphics to ultra which runs just fine, however I had to separately turn on anti-aliasing. Once I had the controls figured out and had set my UI scale, everything else has been smooth. There is a campaign which teaches you the ropes, but you can skip that and start exploring space, taking missions, building stations, etc. at your own pace whenever you want. If you want to feel the vastness of a universe filled with life and endless possibilities give this one a try.

Unless you enjoy trying to fix unfix-able tracked motion controls then I definitely wouldn't bother, why wouldn't the devs fix this? because they don't give a ♥♥♥♥.

крайне убогий порт оригинальной игры на vr. управление на столько сложное что аж зубы сводит, большинство функций с джойстиков тупо не доступны, уровень интерактивности окружения: отсутствует напрочь! ЕДИНСТВЕННЫЙ плюс: пространство и станции выглядят круто

It reminds me when me and corn pop were in space fighting cannibal ice pirates and the aliens were rubbing my leg to watch the hair pop up.

It might be quite old now, but this is a seriously cool game in VR with nice gesture controls that makes it quite intuitive and does not require to spend hours binding button on HOTAS. Graphic quality is excellent for the time and still nice to look at today and has the advantage of not requiring a very powerfull GPU. Great fun overall and very deep game for a newbie like me. I also found it much simpler to learn compared to X4 or Elite Dangerous

El juego tiene una economía dinámica, cada facción abastece a su población, fabrica sus naves, empiezan por recolección de recursos, refinado de recursos, fabricación de componentes y naves. Puedes enriquecerte y mejorar tu economía si comercias con ellos, si fabricas, si minas o si combates. Puedes hacerte pirata. El juego va de construir una flota de naves y estaciones espaciales y tu manejando tu nave. En VR solo puedes caminar por el hangar. Aunque el juego original tuvo el problema de que no gusto porque solo podías usar una nave y por las autopistas en los sistemas, no hay otro mejor hecho para VR. Si no es VR si que esta X-4. Hablando de VR y juegos espaciales este es de los mejores pero tiene una curva de aprendizaje dura, el juego es complejo. Esta bien adaptado a VR pero se podría mejorar.

Те же проблемы, как у Quest 2 : - через VD XRebirthVR.exe запускает rutime Oculus, но управление все равно vive: стики не работают, маппинг кнопок -дичь. экзешник XRebirthVR_Oculus через VD - 2d режим, только звук идет через шлем. - через PICO SteamVR - финт ушами с подменой экзешников не работает: тоже 2 д режим, через XRebirthVR.exe те же проблемы с контроллерами Нашел в PICO Streaming режим совместимости контроллеров и ...... о, чудо, стики заработали!!! маппинг кнопок такой же жуткий, но это хотя бы можно поменять в настройках. gesture mode тоже работает норм. Может кому поможет.
