Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.43/day in the week to Jul 24 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are a gray wolf in the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. Now dispersed from your natal pack, you're on your own – to hunt, explore, find a mate and form your own pack to raise up a new family. Can you and your little pack survive the trials of the wild?

Surviving in the wilderness is far from easy! Hone your hunting skills by practicing on animals such as elk, mule deer, and moose. Once you've grasped their differences and know your limits against your selection of prey, seek out another wolf to become your mate and form a pack together. Explore fields and forests across Yellowstone National Park while you establish a territory and choose a den. Raise your pups by feeding them and playing with them. Protect them from deadly predators who try to kill them.

Over time, your family will outgrow the need for a den and become nomadic, where you teach your pups how to catch their own prey. By next spring they will be yearlings, and test these new skills to help raise the next litter. Eventually, some will venture out on their own and disperse, just as you did all that time ago.

And the cycle repeats, year after year, until you die. The saga of your life begins and ends when you choose, be it one life only or a succession of multiple generations.
Explore realistic recreations of select locations within Yellowstone National Park. Set in the Northern Range (often referred to as "the Serengeti of North America"), where many animals roam meadows, sagebrush steppe grasslands, alpine forests, and high ridges.
But be wary – you are not the only wolf in the area. Rival packs make their home across the landscape and don't take kindly to sight-seeing intruders. Other dangers roam the lands as well – grizzly bears, cougars, and coyotes among them who will vie with you for territory and food.

Raising the bar for realistic and accurate eco-simulation gameplay, many features in the game are directly adapted from wildlife research. Our science advisors include some of the top wolf biologists in the world today, who help us keep WolfQuest accurate to real wolf biology and behavior.
Live the life of a wild wolf! Form your own pack and watch your adorable pups grow into adults and disperse, year after year, until your wolf dies. End your story on your deathbed, or select an heir to continue your legacy.
Dynamic day/night, weather and seasons immerse you into the wilderness.
Wolves communicate with each other using natural actions and vocalizations. Packmates and pups interact and play with each other. Dynamic (family-friendly) courtship interactions help find and choose a suitable mate.
A genetics system models inheritance of each wolf's genes, including eye color, physical and personality attributes, and genetic coat color.
Elk roam the lands in realistic herds, along with moose, mule deer, beavers and other prey.
Animals behave and change to the seasons. Herds migrate through the year. Bucks and bulls spar in the autumn rut and shed their antlers. Cows and does give birth and raise their own young.
Rival wolf packs maintain and protect their own territories from intruders – like you!
Bears, cougars and coyotes will challenge you for your kills and defend their own.
Optional Ironwolf Mode: Live life on the edge, where each decision counts and your death can't be taken back.
Over 100 Achievements and a variety of collectible objects hidden across the map, from shed antlers, skulls, to lost human items.
And a lot more!

Engage in Co-op Multiplayer: Raise your pups together in a group for one game year, maintain territory together against rival packs, or hang out in a sandbox without any real objective.
Live a Wolf's Life Together: Build a pack and raise pups year to year in a special 2-Player Mode, until one of you dies of old age.
Choose who joins your games by selecting if they're public to all, private to friends, or only for select individuals or in-game pack groups.

Ok so i played the classic edition on my ipad like 10 years ago or so. I've probably played that for hundreds of hours. It has had a huge influence on who I am today, and how I percieve animals and wildlife. When I finally got a laptop for college i was very excited when i realized that i could finally play anniversary edition. It's like, everything I've ever wanted. I really wish there were more games/projects that were this committed to accuracy and details. I loved seeing the reference to the classic rendezvous site. One of my personal favorite games of all time. It's part of my backstory. If you have the time and ability to play this game, I highly recommend it. I also recommend watching the devlogs on youtube if you want more information. I think this game is a large part of why I care so much about both animals and video games. I will never shut up about wolfquest. I hope kids are able to play and be both educated and inspired like I was.
TL;DR -- Revolutionarily realistic wolf simulator that is based in real wolf biology/ecology/research. Can be as leisurely or challenging as you like, customizable gameplay style, and high replayability! Highly recommend if you're an animal/ecology/behavior nerd like me! This is a truly remarkable game. If you're fascinated by wolf/animal ecology and behavior, this game is for you. It is the most realistic animal simulation game I've seen/played thus far. The movement of the prey as seasons change forces you to move along with them, so you're never too sedentary. There are constant challenges to keep you on your toes and make you feel like you're truly surviving in the wilds of Yellowstone. Each wolf has its own personality. You have to play smart or your life (or your mate's or pup's) could be lost in an instant. Managing your hunger, sleep, health, and stamina to ensure you can always make it to the next day brings a tactical aspect to the game. If all this seems daunting, there are lower difficulties for those who simply want to explore the maps and live the life of a wolf without the hardship. I love how customizable the difficulty and environmental settings are. I personally choose realistic settings, but for those who want a challenge or just a leisurely animal sim, this game has it all! I get incredibly immersed in this game. You can absolutely tell the dev team works with wolf biologists and does their research on wolf ecology. Plus, the game just keeps getting better with the addition of multiplayer, 2-person saga, and the new collaring mechanics! Well worth the money. I've been playing since WolfQuest Classic released, and it's astounding how far the Anniversary Edition has come from that point.
I've played WolfQuest for a long time now, there's much to admire certainly, but there's a few things that honestly bring the game down. The gameplay loop is hooking, the repetitiveness of it is incredibly charming, it brings structure to your gameplay but has subtle variation each year. It really does simulate life as a wolf whilst making it engaging. My issues with this game however revolve around movement and graphics. The movement in this game is far from smooth, it feels jagged, laggy and hard to control when you have to face multiple targets. The wolf model's torso is stiff, it does not bend side to side at all, causing the animations to seem very static. It only gets worse in multiplayer, players almost teleport into different places and it's hard to gauge their actual location when they move. The movement as a whole I believe needs more focus, it's one of the most important parts of a game and it definitely impacts my opinion. Perhaps my biggest critique is the wolf model. I don't see very many people comment on it, but I do wonder why. This wolf model has remained the same for years, all of the other animals look incredibly lifelike but the wolf. While the textures make it more appealing, it needs to be reworked to align better with all of the other animals in the game because it does look low quality. Being the focus animal of the game, I believe it should look better than the NPCs but as it stands, the NPCs look better. I have no doubt that so much time and care goes into this game, but I do think that these issues need to be considered.
Excellent and realistic game. I've followed the dev's work since wolfquest classic, definitely recommend.
Are you someone who has a hyperfixation on wolves? Are you perhaps a wolf therian or otherkin (or anything else under the alterhuman label)? Do you enjoy realistic wildlife sims or survival games? Do you want to learn more about wolves? If any of the previously mentioned things are true about you, you couldn't find a game better for you than this one. The gameplay is super fun and engaging especially for a game marketed as an educational game, the depiction of wolves is incredibly accurate and well researched, the game features both single player and multiplayer, and there are very few bugs. This is the best wolf sim out there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the life of a wolf in the wild.
