WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition

I usually play shooters and car games. Never thought I'd be playing a wolf simulator. All my friends were like "wtf are you playing"

Be wolf. Find mate. Have pups. Rival wolves try to kill pups. Kill rivals. Pee on rival corpse. 10/10 game honestly

WolfQuest is honestly one of the best animal games I've EVER played. The realism, genetics system, family dynamics, and overall experience of living as a wolf are incredible. However, my biggest criticism is that I wish there was more to do. After a while, the gameplay becomes very repetitive. Most of your time is spent defending territory, hunting, and raising pups. While those are important parts of a wolf's life, wolves do so so much more than that. Wolves spend a lot of time exploring, playing, scavenging, resting, and socializing with their pack. Wolf packs are families first and hunting groups second. Maintaining those family bonds is a huge part of their lives, but in WolfQuest, social interactions feel very limited. A couple howls or play bows can instantly raise affinity, and then it's back to hunting and reinforcing territory. I also wish scavenging played a larger role. Real wolves take advantage of carcasses whenever they can, but in the game there aren't many opportunities to take over kills or find carrion. Most of the time you're hunting for yourself. None of this changes how much I enjoy WolfQuest. It's still one of my favorite games, always will be. I just think there's a lot of potential for deeper social interactions and more varied activities that would make pack life feel even more realistic and engaging.

Got this game to relax then pups existed........love the game but have never have i been less relaxed. You will become a paranoid parent. 10/10

This game goes beyond words. I strongly reccomend this game. Absolute GOLDEN use of my money, amazing graphics (if you can handle them) And the gameplay is just amazing, wonderful comunity, especially on the wolfquest wiki fandom! Great immersion, textures, gameplay, shadows, day/night cycle, honestly, I could go on for at least an hour. Ive recently gotten "Im juggling as fast as I can!" achievement and it was amazing, did I mention the INFINITE wolves, family trees, sagas, and stories as you figure out what happend to Lost River, explore the amazing new map, Tower Fall! And experience the amazing simulation that actually makes you feel like a wild wolf in YellowStone. With a cattle ranch, the grand (I cant remembur if its loop or east lol) road, an entire legal hunting area!?!? Oh yeah, dont forget the beautiful northern lights, the pesky coyoties the amazing (but dangerous!!) bison! The huge elk population, moose, summer calves/fawns, pronghorn, mule deer, dogs in Lost River, cattle, also in LR, the AMAZING collectables, the vast, vast achievements, and, drumroll please, seamless transisions beetween years! watch your pack grow, whilst keeping away eagles, bears, cougers, coyotes, lynxes (tower fall only) dogs, (LR only) and rival wolves, learn to hunt, find a mate, find a den, grow your pups, loaf around through the summer, grow some more!, and finally, teach them how to hunt, watch them disperse and form their own pack, whilst struggling to find food, or, if your more of a casual gamer, pick easy mode, where health regenerates quickly, and food goes down slowly, try to find a variety of prey, including: Beavers, snowshoe hares, elk, moose, cattle, mule deer, pronghorn, fish dropped by eagles on occasion, and bison. What about your mate? First thing, they have their own personality! Second, they will sadly die eventually, and you can find a new one! And they can have so many coats, howls, sizes, On occasion they can have collars, scratches, mangy tails, notched ears, and way more! But you can also (for roleplay reasons) kill them when you get pregnant or when pups are born and survive single. Watch your pups packs grow, contest rival wolves for territory, and food, if the rival wolves are pushing your territory to the limit, you can move to a different map, in tower fall, theres even tour busses, dont worry! They wont run you over! Or, if your feeling daring, try your luck, at the cattle ranch. There is so, so, much to do in this game! If you made it this far, thank you!!! And by the way, I havent covered HALF of the features in wolfquest, anniversary edition, also thanks to the youtuber, Siri! Pixel biologest, for getting me interested in the game. But in the end, if you love wolves, hardship, immersion, or just wildlife in general, get. This. Game!! Although, one reccomendation I do have is that I think that adding A: elk/prey with injuries, and B: add some more customization options, for free and for the payed packs, like maybe some scratches but not a coat, a texture that simply gets put over the coat texture, this would be realy, really fun for rp!! WolfQuest has been so important all throughout my life and it's helped me become a better writer, helped me feel like I have a community, and honestly it's just so fun knocking out all these achievements. I love this game so much, it feels like the devs care about you and are there for you. Such a sweet and wonderful game, community, and team :). 10 out of 10
