About
It is 1926, ten years after an immense “occult event” halted the Great War and transformed the world overnight. The dead walk, spirits roam, and a gifted few can even cast spells.
9-year-old Clover awakens alone in a decaying mansion just miles from the epicenter of the occult event, and soon discovers that she is a ghost.
Her only companion is a strange and powerful doll constructed from wood, metal, and human remains.

In this Horror Action RPG from the creator of Withering Rooms, join Clover and her doll guardian as they explore the mysterious town of Penwyll and the sprawling graveyards that surround it, seeking a way to bring her back to life.
Descend into tombs, caves and rotting estates in search of treasure, upgrade materials and magical artifacts
Craft weapons and machines to slot into the doll’s missing right arm like the Enchanted Candelabrum, Chain Rock, Machinegun, or Flamethrower
Expand the world map by defeating massive perimeter guardians
Make allies such as the daring freelance investigator Althea who will do anything to uncover Penwyll's dark secret including interrogation, lockpicking and forgery
Return to any area at night to encounter new, horrifying creatures and secrets

Very solid initial impression for EA release. Some performance issues in town and when numerous enemies are active. While it initially is pretty basic in gameplay there is always such creativity in implementation just like the first game. Arms being completely independent in stats and functions, as well as the ghost having its own spell casting and equipment really concisely works together in both lore and function. Stumbled upon a trapped item which teleported me into a sadistic memory game I had to complete before I was teleported back. Love the originality.

I completely disagree with the way the Developer decided to handle Steam Input and the key rebinding. While there isn't a fix for this, the Developer was receptive to my feedback and is pushing to enable native rebinding on Steam Deck. Leaving as positive review under the impression this game is as half as good as Rooms.
I really really loved Withering Rooms so I've been very excited for this one. I was almost worried that my high expectations would leave me disappointed, but happy to say that wasn't the case! I found the moment to moment gameplay muuuch better than the first, while also expanding on the world, story, and exploration from Rooms that I loved. There's also a lot more unique systems to play around with mechanically. The buildcrafting is quite good in my opinion, and I had a lot of fun developing my character throughout the game. However what I really want to emphasize in this review is that this developer's biggest strength is creating an intriguing world with tons of exploration, secrets, and unique experiences. Idk, it's kind of hard to really explain but this dev just has a way to getting me really interested in their game's world and story that most games don't. I'll probably buy any game this dev makes going forward. If this game looks at all interesting to you, I really recommend it!
imagine not anticipating the goty
Finally. Bloodborne on PC. Thank you Moonless Formless for another banger.
Janky, sometimes frustrating but very far along and just as interesting as the original. First time I booted it up, I somehow spent 4 hours playing it.
The atmosphere and story is cool, and the setting. But really I only played this for more of the setting from the first game. The dev abandoned every unique feature, idea, and mechanic they had in the first game to just make a dark souls rip off but jank. If I wanted to play dark souls, I'd play dark souls since I could enjoy it without the clunkiness and questionably poor balance. That said, doing a playthrough of this game and getting all the ending and finishing most of the book of burdens made me just want to play the first game again, so I started a new playthrough of that and it really is just a better game in every way, I just can't understand abandoning every cool thing you came up with to steal someone else's design, but then do it worse.
As a gamer girl I highly recommend this product for other gamer girls, such as myself, as well as gamer boys.
Mostly impressions from the demo and a few sections and sidequests in town, great experience so far. Despite being early access feels already really polished and content rich. I will update the review later but I'd like to give a positive push to a worthy developer in the meantime
