About
It is 1926, ten years after an immense “occult event” halted the Great War and transformed the world overnight. The dead walk, spirits roam, and a gifted few can even cast spells.
9-year-old Clover awakens alone in a decaying mansion just miles from the epicenter of the occult event, and soon discovers that she is a ghost.
Her only companion is a strange and powerful doll constructed from wood, metal, and human remains.

In this Horror Action RPG from the creator of Withering Rooms, join Clover and her doll guardian as they explore the mysterious town of Penwyll and the sprawling graveyards that surround it, seeking a way to bring her back to life.
Descend into tombs, caves and rotting estates in search of treasure, upgrade materials and magical artifacts
Craft weapons and machines to slot into the doll’s missing right arm like the Enchanted Candelabrum, Chain Rock, Machinegun, or Flamethrower
Expand the world map by defeating massive perimeter guardians
Make allies such as the daring freelance investigator Althea who will do anything to uncover Penwyll's dark secret including interrogation, lockpicking and forgery
Return to any area at night to encounter new, horrifying creatures and secrets

I've been following this game since it was announced as I was a huge fan of Withering Rooms. While I'm not too far into the game, it's scratching an itch I didn't know I had. I don't normally post reviews, but I want to help this game succeed as much as I can. The combat feels smooth and should be familiar to anyone who has played any of the SoulsBorne games. There's quite a lot of build variety and multiple ways to approach combat. So far, I love the music, gameplay, story, and atmosphere. If you were a fan of Withering Rooms, definitely give this a try! You'll also be supporting a solo developer who has demonstrated an improvement in their skills since their last game. The only critique I can offer so far is that death doesn't feel very punishing. Either that or I haven't encountered a punishment for it. Edit: Apparently you can set it to lose 50% ichor in the options. By default Normal doesn't remove your Ichor when you die. You have to set it to strict.
Overall pretty impressed with this game. I do think there’s more room for polish, especially around melee combat and general enemy placement. Some of the rooms are way too spammy with enemies. But the story, music, atmosphere, art, lighting and everything is excellent.
Actually such a goated game. Just try it if you love souls-likes, silent hill, absolute bangers and good amount of content. I'm running around with a gun build and it's so fun!
What is there to say? It's an evolution of Withering Rooms. 3D action. Movement. Timing. Deep character and build progression. Build identity. Charming story. Dark period piece. I'll be playing this from day 1 to official 1.0 drop.
I was a huge fan of Withering Rooms but this is just a complete upgrade in so many ways. It plays very differently but it works very well! The enemy design is stellar in this game and combat is fast and build variety is plentiful. I love exploring Penwyll and its secrets! Can’t wait to fully go through the game and ng+
