About
It is 1926, ten years after an immense “occult event” halted the Great War and transformed the world overnight. The dead walk, spirits roam, and a gifted few can even cast spells.
9-year-old Clover awakens alone in a decaying mansion just miles from the epicenter of the occult event, and soon discovers that she is a ghost.
Her only companion is a strange and powerful doll constructed from wood, metal, and human remains.

In this Horror Action RPG from the creator of Withering Rooms, join Clover and her doll guardian as they explore the mysterious town of Penwyll and the sprawling graveyards that surround it, seeking a way to bring her back to life.
Descend into tombs, caves and rotting estates in search of treasure, upgrade materials and magical artifacts
Craft weapons and machines to slot into the doll’s missing right arm like the Enchanted Candelabrum, Chain Rock, Machinegun, or Flamethrower
Expand the world map by defeating massive perimeter guardians
Make allies such as the daring freelance investigator Althea who will do anything to uncover Penwyll's dark secret including interrogation, lockpicking and forgery
Return to any area at night to encounter new, horrifying creatures and secrets

Very refreshing indie game that is a melting pot gameplay of Dark Souls and old school Resident Evil/Silent Hill with some delicious Bloodborne-esque theming on top. The combat can get a little janky sometimes, but the atmosphere, creepiness, story, and character building is excellent, especially for a tiny team of developers. Is it perfect? No, but I had more fun with this game than most AAA games in the last few years.
Been looking forward to this game for a long time, and I am absolutely loving it! It's great just like the previous game. Thank you Moonless Formless!

I've only just started playing it, but I already love it. It has enough of the charm, whimsy and horror of the first game, with just a slightly different playstyle because of the 3D. I personally love the buddy-system and really like the early expansion of friendships (and other relationships). It has the mystery of the first game, with - so far - a little less of the despair and alienation of the first. This is only my very early impression, but I'm very happy. I would like a little more penalty for failing, however.
This game is basically Elden Ring, without the open world gameplay, and with a Withering Rooms theme. Personally, I like it. Now mana auto regenerates, and doesn't give you curse when you run out. Guns and spells use mana, instead of hard to find ammo. No more sneaking and hiding. And more armor items to equip than before. It's fun to see familiar characters with better graphics and less clunky gameplay. But you can really tell it was only made by one person. Not quite the polish as the big games. I do miss some of the spookiness of Withering Rooms. I also miss exploring the big house. The world segmentation feels like Super Mario. And the randomization is way more patchy. (Instead of many, randomly placed rooms, you get one big room, with a few things randomly moved in it.) But hey, I'm only 3 hours into the game. I will say, it works great on Linux, and I have not had any performance issues on Ultra Graphics. But, it is still Early Access, and overall I do find it fun. Unlike the Manifold Garden developer, I really hope this developer reads the bug reports we send in. It's not ready for prime time just yet, so I say wait until the full release before you play it. (Or just go ahead and try the demo anyway.)
is good!
