About
It is 1926, ten years after an immense “occult event” halted the Great War and transformed the world overnight. The dead walk, spirits roam, and a gifted few can even cast spells.
9-year-old Clover awakens alone in a decaying mansion just miles from the epicenter of the occult event, and soon discovers that she is a ghost.
Her only companion is a strange and powerful doll constructed from wood, metal, and human remains.

In this Horror Action RPG from the creator of Withering Rooms, join Clover and her doll guardian as they explore the mysterious town of Penwyll and the sprawling graveyards that surround it, seeking a way to bring her back to life.
Descend into tombs, caves and rotting estates in search of treasure, upgrade materials and magical artifacts
Craft weapons and machines to slot into the doll’s missing right arm like the Enchanted Candelabrum, Chain Rock, Machinegun, or Flamethrower
Expand the world map by defeating massive perimeter guardians
Make allies such as the daring freelance investigator Althea who will do anything to uncover Penwyll's dark secret including interrogation, lockpicking and forgery
Return to any area at night to encounter new, horrifying creatures and secrets

I'm really impressed that they managed to improve on the formula they had with Withering Rooms. They built on what they had and took it in a different direction while keeping most of what made the first game great. I feel like they've really created their own hybrid genre with these games: Souls-like metroidvania survival horror with RPG elements and rogue-like mechanics. Basically all my favorite things together. It's impressive that they've managed to make so many different genres work together so well, and they've now done it across two games. Withering Realms is more Souls-like and less rogue-like than the first game. The combat feels better and there are still plenty of different builds to create, but I think the first game has more variety in some areas. Realms is still in Early Access though, so I'm looking forward to see what they add. The best part is that you can play the whole game in its current early access state. It's rare to see an early access game this complete. I can't wait to see what they do next.
I also can't wait to boast about beating the Great Corpse Worm before they patched it lmao.
Awesome game so far, will update when I've played more. Genuinely an amazing sequel to the first game.
It’s a full game already, and it is still in early access. Occult vision I have not seen anywhere else. A real souls-like that is not just borrowing the label. It carries over what worked in Withering Rooms and still stands on its own. I hope this one gets the recognition it deserves.
peak
Absolutely peak. Moonless Formless has created something truly special yet again and I cannot recommend supporting them enough. The early access plays great, a few little hiccups here and there, but my issues are minimal and I'm sure with the amount of love the creator has put into this series they will continue to create a beautiful experience for us to continue to enjoy.
Very good. A bit rough around the edges cuz of early access, but overall a really fun game with great graphics and music. The story/lore is pretty interesting, too.
I enjoyed the first game quite a bit and am very happy with how the combat, gameplay and world building have evolved. Plays great on Steam Deck too!
It jank but it good
