Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter with 3 different modes. In Artifact Brawl, be the first to snatch the Artifact and blast through the Wildgate, or destroy the ships of every rival crew to be crowned the winner. Fleet Battle pits two massive teams of up to 12 players each against one another in relentless, action-packed combat. For a more relaxed looting expedition, salvage treasure and escape with the spoils before getting blown up in Treasure Hunt.
Across all modes your ship is your home and lifeline for you and your prospector crew. Keep it topped up with ice, fuel and ammo so you're ready for anyone or anything the Reach throws at you.

Blast your enemies with hi-tech cannons and gadgets, lure them into deadly traps, or even mess with their ship... as long as they don't sabotage yours first. When your perfect plan goes out the airlock, there's only one option... wing it!

Stay one step ahead as you and your crew navigate the Reach — a vast, ever-changing procedurally-generated map that changes with every game.

Choose from a variety of daring prospectors, each with their own abilities and tools. Whether you want to be a brave pilot holding down the ship or a clever trickster boarding enemy ships, there's no wrong way to commit space crimes!

The Reach is a dangerous, unpredictable place, filled with deadly hazards and treasure beyond your wildest dreams. Navigate through cosmic storms, battle space creatures, and plunder ancient alien ruins for lost caches of loot. Just make sure you beat the other prospectors to the punch, or you'll fly away empty-handed!

Knew this game will be dead and called it on the day of release. Thank god I was able to get a refund
I really adore this game! It deserves a lot more love and attention than it currently has ~ The devs just recently added a lot of content to the map and gave one of the gamemodes a nice QoL. Highly enjoyable even in single player <3

🎮Venturing into space to extract an ancient artifact is something you've probably heard (and experienced) in games. However, Wild Gate introduces its own unique twist on space extraction, firstly by setting a timer where you must escape through, you guessed it, the "Wild Gate." During the entire competition, the enemy ships will do whatever it takes to prevent you from succeeding. In a nutshell, they would be able to board your ship, interfere with the main activities, wipe out the crew, and finally seize the artifact, just like the game Sea of Thieves but in space. Without friends to team up with, you might find yourself pairing up with random online players, making it difficult to connect with them. Worse yet? You might encounter sweaty players who will damage your self-esteem and your willingness to stick around beyond the payback period. After launching Wild Gate, you're tasked with two main tasks: choosing a character and a ship. At launch, there are seven playable characters, each with a unique aesthetic inspired by alien fantasy and science fiction. Their designs are inspired by hero shooters, offering unique stories and abilities. However, the most significant differences are their passive abilities, such as a penchant for ship maintenance, stealth, telekinesis, and speed. Characters also share active skills and weapons, allowing for free experimentation and creating their own unique playstyle. For a PvP multiplayer game, however, the character roster may seem limited. It would be great if there were a larger pool of characters to choose from, and above all, if they had different active abilities. Moving on to the starships, there are five in total. Each one has a distinctive appearance and abilities, with some being larger, faster, more durable, or equipped with more weapons and shields. You can invite up to three friends to play using cross-platform play and co-progression. You'll have to be lucky when you play with random people, as defeating the Wild Gate requires serious teamwork and cooperation. One of you can break the mold and do whatever you want. However, with four other teams trying to destroy you and your ship, the best solution might be to watch each other's backs. This is easier said than done, considering the constant communication you'll need. Find a team that's easy to work with and... Wild Gate. The gameplay will live up to your expectations. You can divide the main roles among yourselves, assigning someone to pilot the ship, while others head into space to explore valuable resources. Each role is essential to winning a one-on-one duel. However, this doesn't mean you can't employ different strategies. Some spaceships focus on attack, immediately declaring war on other teams. Ultimately, the last spaceship standing wins the game. However, the attack can backfire if you run out of ammo during combat. While some moments are relatively more tense than others, and the later stages of the match demand everything you have to survive, Wild Gate, whether surviving the onslaught of enemy ships, is overall a wonderful journey, whether with friends or otherwise. Infiltrating rival ships and sabotaging their core systems is very reminiscent of the chaos and confusion of Sea of Thieves. When you're attacked from all sides, everyone is ready to act. You have to divide and conquer if you want to get out alive. You'll constantly encounter enemy and rival ships. You might have to invade foreign territory, looting their resources after defeating them. However, at any given moment, enemy ships can attack you and steal your resources for themselves. You must always be vigilant, even when facing environmental hazards. You may encounter dense asteroids, space storms, radiation zones, fog, and other hazards that can harm your ship and crew. And because the environment is procedurally generated, you never know what awaits you. Therefore, each game always brings unique challenges and unpredictability. The game sounds are shockingly precise, so much so that you can hear approaching footsteps. When enemies try to infiltrate your ship, you can hear them slamming against the ship's exterior when they attempt to break into your ship. You can hear their successful break-in, as well as the sounds of explosions as they deal all sorts of damage. Wild Gate is far from perfect, and, dare I say, entirely thanks to its multiplayer mode. Everything else works flawlessly, whether it's the satisfying combat system, both in first-person and ship-to-ship combat, or navigating the dangerous reaches of space. Flying spaceships is fluid, and adrenaline pumps during combat. You utilize every available attack and defense strategy, utilizing every resource and teamwork skill you've acquired early on. All your actions matter, whether they benefit you in an enemy encounter or when you encounter hostile, alien territory. 👍Strengths. - Great ship-on-ship battles. - Procedurally generated maps that constantly change. - Both ship and FPS combat feels smooth - Deep, tactical spaceship combat with meaningful crew roles - Unique gameplay 👎Weaknesses. - Slow start to each round - Steep learning curve for new players - PvE falls flat - Cash shop cheapens the experience 🏁Summary. If you're lucky enough to get a good game, Wildgate is simply the most fun thing ever, it is like playing a movie. The ship fighting is great and very fluid, attacking other ships is very exciting too, and the PVE content is quite diverse in terms of its offerings. The game has some drawbacks and I will not mislead you, it has some required balancing issues and is in need of more content, but still, you should not hesitate to give this game a try, even if you wait until more updates come out to play it. The characters are all very interesting and entertaining, besides that the weapons and gadgets are fun too. 🎯7/10
I like this game but sadly player count is 54 people right now and it's impossible to find people to play you will be stuck in queue forever very very sad :(
beta was the best but a week is all it took for me to get bored of the content.
there's nobody here, 10min queue for my first match it's almost certainly going to go free to play eventually, so just save your money until then.
This game is so much fun when you have people to play with, if your trying to get in a lobby solo or even with a duo its almost impossible to get paired with a good squad or a squad at all. I had to stop playing because the game is so dead its so sad. If they lowered the price tag or had it F2P then I think more people would play. I got 6 of my friends to buy it but they wont stick around since the matchmaking takes forever and by the time you get into a lobby you see its full of bots or ghost ships :( Devs please do something about this before the game dies, I love it so much.
This game was extremely fun and has an awesome gameplay loop. Seeing how the game is doing now is a real bummer. Why do you guys add more bs cosmetic options but not making a game that is dead f2p? Who do you guys think is going to grind for those new cosmetics? The twenty players in game. You would clearly make more money at this point going f2p with microtransactions. If you do not go f2p you're cooked.
The whole piloting your ship, and fighting in first person, going back and forth between your ship, space stations, and enemy ships, is a very interesting idea. In between the combat and looting moments too, you're having to repair your ship, take control of the turrets, upgrade them with loot that you find. Wildgate does some really unique things with co-op, and even single player (still online only) gameplay. But it all just doesn't feel that engaging either. Collecting loot, and piloting your ship is tedious and slow. I think what would have been better for Wildgate, is that you pilot your ship in 3rd person, dock at a station, and then exit your ship into first person for your character; you get a limited number of inventory slots to collect as much loot as you can, take it back to your ship, and then pilot out of there to the next station, or wildgate to leave the area with your loot. If you die or your ship is destroyed, then you lose all of your loot, but if you survive then you can use it to further upgrade your ship, weapons, and armor so you can take on more challenging content. The main point of my suggestions is to make the game faster paced, and less tedious, less to focus on. I think Wildgate needs a new way to keep the co-op crew mechanics in place, while still making it feel faster and more engaging then it currently is. There is also the very serious issue of player numbers; this game launched dead on arrival, and Moonshot Games has been unable to draw people in, even with the free to play weekend currently ongoing. Wildgate is an online only game as well, with a live service model; so it lives or dies on having a large number of players, and a portion of those players spending a significant amount of money on the cash shop and battle passes to keep Wildgate alive. That is clearly not happening. Wildgate in its current state runs a high risk of shutting down, and you'll never be able to play it ever again if that happens. So take that into consideration if you choose to buy it.
Loved the game at first because most of us were still getting to know the flow of play and strategies etc. But as time went on it became harder and harder to enjoy just losing to certain strats over and over. Especially in PUG's. That began to result in less people playing, which meant longer wait times for a game. What really began to bother me is that the player count per ship meant everyone's role had to be hyperfocused and well executed which left very little room for error. That combined with the bigger ships that had inherent drawbacks to them. So, you'd think that the bigger ships with more health would be a benefit but bigger also means more space inside, which means longer times to run to another gun or section of the ship to put out a fire. So It did not feel very balanced in that sense. I think that having a higher player count per crew could have helped having to be so precise at your role as well as make the larger ships more viable. I want to love this game. The concept is genius. The controls, visuals, animations, are all top notch. I just wasn't enjoying it like when i originally started.
