Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Really cool and fun game. Like the best bits of Monster Hunter combined with the best bits of Nioh, but a bit more forgiving than both. Nice art style, combat, and sound design. It's a shame it didn't meet sales targets or whatever and the devs never continued on with making content/sequels as the game has massive potential. Cons are performance issues (like all Koei Tecmo PC ports) and the connection to EA's absolutely pointless launcher. The guy at EA who decides every game published by them needs to be tied to this buggy, poorly designed launcher should be hung, drawn and quartered for their crimes against games.
游玩中:My PCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC!!!!!!!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So I used to absolutely LOVE this game, I was incredibly invested in the community and was even in the main discord before it got shut down because it was basically dead, I was there to witness the devs try to patch the game's issues...but I just got a new PC and tried running it again. Me and my mate tried playing again, it ran fine for me before and it still runs well for me now. My friend with the same exact specs as me suffers from such immense memory leak issues with this game that within minutes of launching it, the game hard locked his entire PC and corrupted his save file. This game is so unacceptably awfully optimized that it started running progressively worse every patch and they just left it like this to rot because they got their funding cut when they couldn't fix it. I love this IP and wish to see more of it, it was ported to Switch 2 recently I saw. I hope that shows some interest in this IP remains because making this an unoptimized one-off cult classic that can't be ran by a NASA computer is just not the fate this deserves. As it stands however, I simply cannot recommend this game at all to anybody. Do not buy this, even on a sale, only if you own a Switch 2 or PS5 should you buy it on those platforms.
I'm going to go against the grain here, I think Wild Hearts is good, really good, and in some ways even superior to Monster Hunter. The game runs poorly, and all the reviews that mention that are totally justified, but I got Wild Hearts on sale for 10 smackers, and I turned most settings to low, because I actually wanted to play it. So that's my advice, if you like similar titles then wait for a sale, don't expect anything crazy and you'll probably have fun with it.
I have been patiently reviewing this game for 2 years now. At the time when all the crappy reviews were coming out, I had a lower to mid tier rig, and chalked it up to a newer game where people's PC's couldn't run it. I now have a very high tier rig. I played for ten minutes, and it looks absolutely atrocious. The beginning cut scenes literally did not make sense, and felt like I clipped from one scene to another. The fact that this is still being sold for $70 not on sale is laugh out loud funny. I bought this game and immediately returned it for 90% off. It is not worth it even at 7 bucks.
Bricked my pc

Despite its known performance problems, Wild Hearts (WH) is a refreshing take on the "monster hunting" genre and worth trying out when it goes on sale. I do not find it an either-or scenario regarding this game vs the Monster Hunter (MH) franchise, as I play both. It is nice to have some new ideas in the genre, where the weapon upgrade tree in Wild Hearts is quite clever compared to anything MH offers. But like MH, you can find yourself doing some grinding in crafting weapons and armor. Combat mechanics is different from MH, where Wild Hearts relies more on evasion-based play-style (but there is one weapon type that does support parrying) with generous iframe windows, while MH is more positional-based (evasion is possible in MH, but it is extremely tight compared to WH). Like MH, monsters (called "kemono" in WH) do have attack patterns, but their attacks track you more, hence the need for a more evasion-based play style or the use of karakuri, WH's construction system. WH's build system, karakuri, allows you to construct objects to assist in combat and to navigate the map, including the ability to set up camps anywhere to facilitate fast travel. Creating constructs for navigating the maps is fun, where you can get a bit minecrafty. I had initial reservations about building, but the implementation is done quite well and is easy to learn. More complex constructs (called "fushion karakur") are easy to learn by well-defined button patterns, where muscle memory is easily developed. WH has strong feudal Japan design aesthetic, and provides some weapon types not available in MH, like the Bladed Wagasa and the Clawblade. My personal favorite is the Hand Cannon, and as someone who plays light and heavy bowguns in MH, I favor WH's Hand Cannon, where beaming the snot out a kemono is an experience that MH does not provide. Despite its performance problems, I highly recommend giving the game a try, especially when it goes on sale, where you should be able to pick it up for around $6. If you have a high-end GPU, you should be able to get some acceptable performance, but the game is also heavy on the CPU, so having a decent CPU is also beneficial.
