I have played for about an hour and half and i have enjoyed myself... yes it is rough around the edges , yes there are things that have to be fixed but it has a lot of potential. Pros: - First and foremost the thunder storms... amazing! really pulled me in made me feel like i had to run for shelter... no other game has done that for me honest. -horses had good movement and how the horses fur coat shined in the sun while riding just amazing. and just think other big titles like Pax Dei and Bellwright have struggled to implement horses into there games and a small team of two brothers implant horses on day one! Hats off - the gun play felt good, the gun sounds good as well. it fun clearing towns with the weapons. Cons: -the first quest bugged could not finish it, I couldn't find Sarah's bag anywhere. i went back to talk to Sarah to see if she might tell me where the bag was she wouldn't talk to me anymore. (maybe as a suggestion have the player be able to re-ask question to characters in case we forgot what they said) also maybe please mark the location of the bag so it not an easter egg hunt. -Combat felt a little janky and too easy. -Think about moving where the chat option selection under the dialog instead of off to the lower left kind of of like how Bethesda does there dialog options. -right now progression is broken... within 10 mins of playing i had a rifle with 150 DMG per shot which i took to the forest area and the swamp and cleaned house .... also plenty of ammo and food which bypasses the need to ever start a base. -UI need some work and some AI voice overs would do wonders instead of just text boxes. To wrap up i think this game isn't as bad as all the negative reviews suggest for an early access i think it could of used a few more demos before release but the game is defiantly playable. Devs if you are reading this please please don't let the negative reviews get you down you have something here you just need to to keep tweaking and polishing and adding content, i cannot wait to see what you do next! keep up the good work.

I wont say that i recommend this game if your looking for a polished game. It is rough. EA is EA and this game is that. I am going to power through the game in hopes the dev's update the game early and often. I support a lot of EA games if your like me and can handle the bugs and the jank then let's ride it out together. The game has a good concept but i can honestly say fairly hard to say which way this is going to go. Could be great (7daystodie) could be a stinker. (pick any of many). I bought a EA game in hopes of at least good at some point.
Not ready for release, just moving around is bad. Menu selections difficult to navigate. boxes and items in way of just moving around buildings. Was excited to see a game set in old west, so disappointed.
This is a perfect example of a company or a group of devs pushing a game to EA when it could easily use 6 months or more of development. 20$ for this is insane. Money grab? Possibly. The devs had to know it was going to get blasted with bad reviews. I lasted roughly 20min before I refunded it. The graphics are decent Controls of terrible. You can barely see the quests on your screens. I think there is better combat in Roblox. Please don't waste your money on this slop. If you want to play a true Western/Cowboy survival game. Wait for “The Legend of California” a team that actually cares about what they put out to the player base.
Holy this is unfinshed, some fun to be had in the sandbox, but don't go in expecting much. Not Recommended for the time being till some major patches hit. The storms are also really pretty, which I've seen noted in other reviews, the movement animations are also very nice too, that's all I got. You can snap point build a base, there's an economy which consists of shop npcs which stand still day and night to sell you nearly everything the game has to offer, you can build up a stupid pile of money by selling the gold and silver you loot in piles off the POIs on the map which have bandits, tribesmen and occasionally zombies. Nothing attacked me in the near 2 hours I was playing, all combat I had to go and find. There's an EXP system in the game which appears to do nothing, a cosmetic survivor level and a 3 separate tree thing kind of like Dying Light, but it's not really clear to me what gives what EXP and it's not like it matters, because it's not even close to finished. Weirdly enough you don't start completely naked or wearing nothing but underwear for a change, you can choose your outfits in the pregame lobby, which I'm not sure I like.
Around 2 hours in here are my thoughts. The game has a LOT of protentional. I can tell the developers really want this game to work. The game is pretty buggy. Combat can feel a little dry with most enemies not knowing either to run at you, or run into a wall. Some item's don't stack in your inventory, and some consumables such as med's don't outright heal you. It'll say in the description the item will heal you but if you look in the stats it gives 0 HP. Punction, and spelling isn't right in dialogue. (Saloon owner is referred too as 'ma'am' ) The world feels empty, roads aren't on the map, roads have bushes, trees, and rocks meshed inside of them. I'm trying to give the dev's the benefit of the doubt because I do enjoy this game from my two hours I was playing it. Overall I know once this game is more fleshed out, and in more of a stable state. This game will be loads of fun. I was even curious to reach out to the Dev's themselves with some suggestions. They aren't really active on social media. On there Twitter there hasn't been any posts since 2023/2024. I know it's a small company, and I praise what they're trying to accomplish. I just want to be able to give them some pointers.
I rarely write reviews, but this one was so bad it deserves one. No corpse bag on death, multiple items with no functionality, no-snap for some building items, building process is rough overall. Lighting is garbage-daylight had rocks glittering like gold and going into an unlit building is like closing yourself in a windowless room. Trailer makes it look like a western, but its more of a quasi western (think RDR zombie game, except far less playable.) Can't get rid of some items. Items disappear when you try to manually stack them. I found the controls fairly unintuitive, spent a lot of time referencing the controls screen. No effective tutorial. Combat is the best thing in the game, and it's a D. Super disappointing-I've played a number of early access games and I'm fine with a few bugs and some things not working correctly, but it felt like you couldn't go 5 minutes in this game without an issue. Capped that experience off with getting two shot killed on a mission that said it was level 1, and losing everything to the no corpse bag problem. I've never asked for a refund of any game I've bought on Steam until today. Stunningly awful offering, not even ready for early release.
It's rough... oh boy it is rough. Also zombies (???) Yet another farted out co-op game with top culprit Unreal. Cannot recommend at all.
Ran out of inventory space right away and couldnt build any storage. Crafting a Mess in this game too much bloated resources and the catalog system for crafting things at the workbench's are a mess. This game very early access. The town building also looked very generic and very emppty. The towns looked like a Western Ghost Town with a bunch of Western cosplaying Hobo's squatting in the town. I'm not intrested in another micromangement crafting mess game that overly complicated in resource mangement that very wonky crafting catalogs for building items. There better games out there that wont drive u crazy with all the bloated resources just to craft a simple storage to store stuff in. Compairing this to Windrose and you get a better idea of crafting done right. This game UI also very poor its very generic and too hard to make out the items u have or whats important and not important as well. Just ya the crafting system killed the game for me.
I like it so far, only thing is i cant seem to find saras bag but oh well, she dont need it anyway. I saw a review where someone played for 0.2 hours and said once you place a building piece you cant pick it up. I think you have to play for .25 hours to realize there is a demolition hammer you have to craft to take things down, oh well some people have a steam wallet just to buy a game, play it for 10 min , complain about it and refund then move on to the next one to complain about. Sadly some think the steam app is a game to be played , sadly its not, anyway. Im looking forward to finding saras bag and what comes next with this.
