Sadly this is the first time I have ever requested a refund on any early access game! Listen concepts are great and this has potential to be a great game but I honestly feel this early access launch should of been pushed back to middle of next year at least! Game is not ready for launch or even close to be brutally honest! Devs please don't take this the wrong way as I will no doubt circle back to buy this in the future when its playable as concepts etc are great but until then this isn't worth the £15 at all sadly!
Aktuell ist das Spiel quasi Unspielbar. Auch ein EA Titel sollte halbwegs Stabil laufen. Ich mag die Idee aber hier ist noch viel, sehr viel Arbeit nötig bevor es wirklich Spaß machen kann.
I want to encourage the devs here, this has a great promise, but it's not there. I have to go down and refund do to some things that just made it to unbearable. The text is near impossible to see on HUD, while the point is so far to the side of the character and tiny ( also just a literal white dot ) you have to have surgical skills to control how to locate on items, needless to say that makes aiming a weapon interesting, even tho it opens to a floating cross. The range over the character shoulder. I just cant work with it. Some ability to zoom in closer would be ideal. The graphics kept acting up when set to CoOp Hit boxes on items is not very intuitive for small items. Inventory acted up more than once, where it showed the last item I had moved hanging by character. I do hope the devs dont get to broken down over all the reviews etc, but it is how it is right now. I DO say the game has promise. I would love to come back when it's sorted out and more ready, even more ready EA wise.
It's rough... oh boy it is rough. Also zombies (???) Yet another farted out co-op game with top culprit Unreal. Cannot recommend at all.
Wanted this to be at least playable for the price point. The game is a little less than half baked, no collision the animations are creepy and not realistic. Then it appears they released the old version of the game first. You get one chance at a first impression and theirs was chaotic at best. it released late and with the wrong version, in my opinion inexcusable. This is a money grab at best, I don't think this will ever fully release, maybe should have went with a week long free playtest before trying to get into peoples pockets. But if you have played this game you already know why they didn't do that.
i've played for roughly five and a half hours and here are my thoughts: yes, the game is pretty good in early access. please keep in mind that this game is in early access if you decide to purchase it. with that being said, there are some issues right off the bat. 1. sarah's bag is really hard to find. the developers made it the same color brown as the ground, and it's not very big, so of course a lot of time was spent looking for it. for those frustrated looking for it, it's on the ground near the broken down wagon nearest the gate of the town. kill the husks first, loot what you feel you need to, THEN slow down and look for her bag. it's there, but certainly could be better placed AND a different color other than brown. another side note, do we really need sarah's bag in the first place? not really, you can't do much with it and it takes up precious inventory space. 2. it rains basically every two hours in game. that's just obnoxious. there's a thunderstorm everyday in game. also, once you build your homestead, it's not waterproof like it should be, so you can see raindrops hitting everything inside. 3. the mission descriptions are VERY HARD to read, and the words are really tiny. same goes for purchasing items from the shopkeepers, the numbers are hard to see. there currently isn't a way to make the letters larger for those visually impaired [like me]. if the developers could make the mission descriptions easier to read and the map markers easier to see, that'd be a huge bonus. 4. there's no actual save button...i'm not sure why? having an actual save button would be amazing OR a visible autosaving feature we could see while playing the game. also, if i quit the game and log back on, i shouldn't have to retrieve my horses from the other side of my settlement plot when i had "hitched" them to the hitching post up against my house in the middle of the plot, hence the autosaving/saving feature. 5. could the developers clear the roads to be a bit more visible? certainly. its not very logical to have massive piles of rocks all over the dirt roads. these aren't "ahh, forget it, i want a refund" issues, just simple fixes the developers could roll out with an update. this game has amazing potential so far. i'm excited to play and go through the story line. and please believe me when i say this, this game is NOT like red dead redemption, stop comparing the two. this game goes in an opposite direction than RDR and i'm personally excited to see the game through.
So I saw all the negative reviews and thought the game looked cool. It is. Again, what the heck is even going on. The game runs perfectly fine. The movements are good and much better than Red Dead. The graphics are good, I was actually shocked on how good the Storm was. I felt like I was actually in a Thunderstorm. Now just started so don't know how in depth this goes. One suggestion I noticed is swinging an axe could be improved at some point. Its not horrible, just a little weak. Like to see a strong attack. Again, maybe there is. I have only played for like a half hour. Its really sad these negative review bombs on all these games. This looks like its easily worth the 18 bucks or so for it and again. Early Access so I would guess its only gonna improve.
It is a cool concept, but is super bare bones. At this point it should have ran thru alot more play tests before it got released as early access. As for the release the developer missed the release time and didn't engage with the community about why it was delayed, and when we finally were able to play with almost instant bugs and glitched graphics not even 5 minutes into the game. Maybe in a few years when more content gets added this might be worth revisiting but as of right now it is not worth it.
NOT READY! Sorry I love the idea and would love to play it but optimization is so bad I just don't see it worth getting into yet. I will return hopefully once things are tighter and more effort was done. I get the team is small but that does not change the facts, I wish them and the community all the luck getting thru this rough patch.
