This is a really unique roguelike, the art is pretty and the wild west purgatory setting is fresh. I really like how it uses darkness, most enemies will hide in the dark where you can't see them so you always need to be careful while walking in the open, and light the lamps whenever possible - which also stuns the enemies and is used as a gameplay mechanic that you'll need to take advantage of. The soundtrack is also good and fit the games well, and the voice acting is nice but eventually he'll start repeating the same lines over and over again. The gameplay with guns and cover is dynamic and rarely I felt like the game was unfair, I think it has a decent difficulty and it's satisfying to master. Sometimes cover can feel a bit too sticky though, you can barely touch it and you'll enter cover mode, and sometimes it's also hard to get out of cover mode. There's many weapons that are fun to play with and they can change the way you play significantly, this games rewards people that can adjust to use what you can get. It's a pain to get the true ending, you need to follow a specific path and play a specific way instead of exploring, and unlocking all the guns is grindy. Still, I think this is a really unique and fun roguelike.
