About
Welcome to Elderfield is a cozy horror RPG where the abnormal is normal, the townsfolk are odd, the eldritch beings watch over you and the local news reports seem stranger by the day.

Everything in Elderfield is unsettling, from the haunting, horror manga-inspired, hand-drawn visuals to the dark, lofi soundscapes composed by Dated. Despite the strange creatures lurking just outside your home, those who wander into Elderfield rarely find a reason… or option, to leave.

Customize your home and character, unravel daily mysteries, befriend the odd townsfolk (or even marry one!), go fishing, spend your afternoons mining and forage through the surrounding wilds… There's lots to do in Elderfield!

Cultivate your land, harvest your crops, and stop the growth of unruly tentacles. Manage a variety of strange, otherworldly livestock, grow useful crops like corn, pumpkins, teeth or eyeballs and hope that beings from the woods don’t wander onto your farm.

Choose your difficulty, how much suffering can you endure? For players seeking a peaceful life of harvest and discovery, cozy difficulty offers a more laid-back experience. For those who crave a challenge, the Old Gods are waiting.
Elderfield features a deep, turn-based combat system where you must utilize gathered resources, strategic buffs and diverse equipment to survive encounters with ancient, Lovecraftian horrors.
Die, learn, farm, and forage… Then die again.

This game is an amazing spooky game very similar to Stardew Valley. You farm, mine, make friends, craft house upgrades, etc. All with a great lo-fi beat and dark aesthetics. Turn based combat with some really cool art, 9/10. Great game
Want something that's Stardew Valley meets Welcome to Nightvale with a Junji Ito artstyle? That's the Eldritch cozy game Welcome to Elderfield. Grow your run-of-the-mill Eyeball and Tooth crops, process goods in your witching morter, fight the Neighbourhood Watch, join the Joggers Club, and take a shower if Gods curse you. Characters? Its got everything: hot neighbours, weird neighbours, skeletal neighbours, Tax Man, and best of all, DAVE. LOVE DAVE. BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP DAVE. FORFEIT ALL MORTAL POSSESSTIONS TO DAVE. TL;DR Its a cute cozy game, you'll have fun.

Came in lookling for a Tim Burton Stardew stayed for the crazy world, cool mechanics and nightmare battles.
Great game. I've always wanted a farming sim with great combat, farming to help support the combat and such. While the farming side of WtE is not as deep as other farming sims, it makes up for it with deep combat mechanics. I only want more at this point, more stuff added in general.
Vibes are great, gameplay solid. Couple of aesthetic bugs here and there, and sometimes there's a lack of variety (some spots only seem to have one type of fish?) and the TV reports started looping sooner than I thought - but I can put these down to teething troubles of a new game, when it's still an otherwise very enjoyable RPG. Feels like there's still a lot of content to discover as well. Got me back to listening to WTNV.
Welcome to Elderfield is perfect for fans of Nightvale and Cthulhu Lovecraft. It nails the cozy horror atmostphere and also like has six? difficulty options available ranging from ranging from a cozy mode for people just wanna experience the story and exploration to intense for hardcore JRPG fans. It's been one of my most anticipated games since it was announced and it absolutely nail and delivers on everything it promised. It also nails the Twin Peaks vibes perfectly, characters are lovable and quirky with absolutely lovable personalities and amazing designs. There's SO much to explore and it perfectly balances the farming elements with classic JRPG gameplay. It's a breath of fresh air in the farming genre and I can't shut up the game. If you're on the fence, I just recommend grabbing it asap, it's a steal for $20 (AUD). It is an indie game so some things are a little but rough around edges but it doesn't detract from the gameplay the experience. I was burnt out on stardew valley like games for ages and this has revitalized my love which i didn't personally think was possible. If you're still unsure there is a demo.
Imagine that Stardew Valley was set in Nightvale. One of your neighbors is a skeleton who grows flowers. Another is a talking cat. (Why does it talk? Weird question, why do you talk? He's minding his business.) Your boss is a giant monster, trapped inside because he doesn't want to break his lovely farmhouse to get out. The local mall is having a Sport sale. That's right, all Sport is 50% off, if you can get past the things in the hall. Sometimes, your crops grow tentacles and scurry away. But all of that's okay, because it's just Like That around here. All of this is normal. Mostly. Equal parts quirky, fun, cute and genuinely creepy. It just came out and I've been playing it for 10 hours. I don't want to go to work. I want to chase my escaping crops with a ritual dagger, so the Tax Man doesn't curse me for not paying on time. And I am having a ball. There's always something to do, a mystery to solve, someone to meet and something to run from. And I cannot recommend it highly enough. My attention span is hard to keep, but there's a lot to do here, and it doesn't feel redundant. I've only just gotten started and can't wait to get in further. I've found the best thing to do is just wander around and get used to the place you live in. It's intuitive and regularly as amusing as it is creepy. Don't forget, this is a horror game, and there will be things that will make you jump, or nope right out of a map. If you're a Graveyard Keeper vet like me, this is a massive improvement. Lots of quality of life, forgiving storage, customizable difficulty, and an interesting combat system make for a lot of fun. Definitely worth playing.
Solo llevo 3h pero lo estoy disfrutando mucho!!
