Sorry to say it as I was so excited for it, but this game is just not fun to play and didn't live up to the hype. I backed this game... the level of disappoint was pretty high. I love Neil Gaiman and the concept was there, they just didn't manage to pull this off.
Quite possibily the most disapointed i have ever been with a game with as much potential as it had.

What a disappointment. This game is a semi-interesting puzzler, I open it up every week or so & do a couple of levels, but that's about it. This game was one that looked great on paper - Neil Gaiman, awesome art style, interesting storyline - but it all fell flat. The graphics look quite dated, there's basically no storyline, and what was Gaiman's input? I can't work it out. I can't really recommend this game, and that sucks because I was so exicted when I bought it. It's an ok puzzler, but that's about it.
Normally I devour the works of Neil Gaiman like an Osedax worm devouring a whale carcass; but this game was a huge disappointment to me. The story seems like it could have been really interesting...such a shame that it was completely eclipsed by the soul-crushing monotony of the gameplay. So much repetitive clicking. I appreciated the tone of the game - very ooky-spooky and therefore right up my alley. Overall I think I'd have preferred that Gaiman stuck to his wheelhouse and wrote this as a novella, graphic novel or similar.
I am a Neil Gaiman fan because I've never read anything made by him that was bad. I've been waiting for this game for a long time and when I star to play it sux. The story sux the gameplay sux. You have to click on points of the scenario to scare the people and that's it. Level after level of this. I do not recomend it.
Playing this game feels like a chore.
Συνοψίζοντας • Χαζή, κακοφτιαγμένη και, γενικά, άθλια αντιγραφή των Neighbours From Hell τίτλων. Παρεμφερείς Τίτλοι NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL I NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL II: ON VACATION http://adventures-index10.blogspot.gr/2013/10/wayward-manor.html
Despite having completed it, I can't tell you what this game is about. I had no idea what I was doing and just clicked random stuff for three hours, trying to find a pattern. In some ways it was similar to The Amazing Maze (Das Verrueckte Labyrinth) or pool/billard, maybe. It probably sounded like a fabulous idea on paper. You push items, and they either move to a new place, or push each other, or nothing happens. Was there a strategy that I was meant to use, apart from random clicking? I will never know. If I were a child, the painfully distorted character models would give me nightmares. Being an adult, I had nightmares because each level was a kafka-esque loop of slightly delayed sprite movement and repetitive audio. I wanted to like this game, Neil Gaiman being involved and all, but I cannot recommend it.
Fui um dos backers desse jogo. Esperava um pouco mais de narrativa e história e recebi um jogo de puzzle bem chatinho. Por mais que eu adore o Neil Gaiman fazendo coisas novas, acho que desta vez não deu certo.
