First off before trying to compare it to its sequel, this is a great game. Lots of hidden secret stuff, excellent character customizations and plenty of replay value. The graphics are not what you expect compared to newer games, but the gameplay is phenominal and the graphics are "Okay", but hey, it released 6 years ago. There are few bugs in the game, none are game breaking though but enough to irritate you a little. Now to comparative, the story line in this game is, to me, hands down better than WL3, it is creepier and more anticipating. I won't give details so I don't spoil anything. WL3 has a better leveling system, and surprise, better graphics. The story seems to fall short of WL2 however, WL2 has a broader diversity with synths, robots, gangs, bandits, tribes and animals. That said, WL2 actually has more variety of enemies than WL3. WL2 is bigger and longer than WL3 story wise, generated better, and creates a better RPG atmosphere all around. Again despite the bugs WL2 is an amazing game. WL3 has bugs but they seem to be more towards the muliplayer side, is worth the venture and cost as well. But I'll hang my hat on 2 over 3 based on content and story

Puzzler: "Как же грамотно и с любовью разработчики передали дух первых фоллычей, чувствуешь как окунаешься в другие времена. Приятный хардкор, здесь ни указателей, ни подсказок, эта та игра, в которой, если невнимательно читаешь диалог, можешь упустить нечто важное и впасть в ступор. На удивление, приятная музыка и звуки, отличный дизайн уровней. Ну а теперь, остаётся лишь ждать WASTELAND 3!" Также отличный Юмор, сложность выбора, погружение в атмосферу все на высоте! Best RPG due to black humor, great combat, and good writing. Atmospheric as well. Who liked it will love Pathway as well (also on Steam, cheaper).
