Wasteland 2: Director's Cut

6/10. I played this game after trying to make myself like Fallout 1 or 2. At the time, this game was fun, entertaining, had a good story and seemed balanced. Maybe it was just me, maybe something else happened (an update?), but I just can't do it anymore. Whatever the reason, now it's super hard for me to get into and to play. It feels like you have to build a VERY SPECIFIC group with very specific stats or you're going to miss out on everything the game has to offer. You'll have to make an infiltrator that deals with traps, explosives, lockpicking and safecracking. a healer that specializes in healing everyone, a talker that specializes in all the conversation perks, and a sniper. All of them must preferably use assault rifles and suffer through the first half of the game because of it, or else the second half will be too difficult. If any of your team has cybernetic stuff, expect a bad time at the end of the game WITH NO WARNING. If you're into TBS games and are into to doing group-character-builds, then pick this one up, it's one of the best.

Good game. Just don't do what I did and spend 25 hours playing only to realise I didn't install the director's cut. Which adds quite a bit of stuff to the game.

This game will kick your ass!

A bit slow on the start, but when you get into it, oooh boy you are in for a ride. Excelent atmosphere, characters and gameplay if you are into turn based tactics and RPGs. Bonus point for all the "old word" references.

The graphics have improved over Wasteland 1 - but the game is still awesome. It feels like Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 gameplay-wise.

The Steam store page says I've played 21.4 hours, but that's my time spent playing the non Director's Cut edition. My DC play time is 178 hours. And I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. This game is a must-play if you are interested in something with fairly old-school RPG mechanics. It is quite simply the best RPG I have played since... Wait... Ever? Seems about on par with Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, except better graphics, more choices, yeah, it's better even than BG2. BETTER THAN EVERY OTHER RPG OUT THERE. It's a 10 - 0.5 for the few bugs that remain: 9.5/10.
