Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 15.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 20/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The core WarTales game is very enjoyable, engaging, and immersive. So, buy the core game especially on sale--seriously. Having said that, the DLCs fail to re-invent the same level of charm and actually magnify minor issues into major ones. One of the biggest issues for me was, for example playing the Pirates DLC after completing the core game and being absolutely disenchanted with the level matching. You complete the game only to be re-involved with petty disputes, completing quests, grabbing gear and information often on toddler difficulty. It makes it seem like you graduated school but you're still hanging around as though you haven't. They would have been better off making the DLC progression more linear and level locked with an obvious continuing story and progression. If they wanted to re-use the core maps, transform them into clans, fiefdoms, or kingdoms you can manage with diplomacy, economy, perks, etc. But going back and having to fight level 1 content absolutely breaks the immersion for me. The existing world, after completion of the core game, needs to be transformed to higher level content or have the DLC avoid that world altogether. Core game (YES!) DLCs (Sadly NO!)
The game had a great potential. Very unique and fun to play. But now it turned into DLC hell, the developers are primarily interested in milking the remaining player base as much as it is possible.
Base game was good first hour or two, thought surely the DLCS would add to it. Learned some of its frustrating, Running a kingdom for... some reason doesn't even connect to the game at all. There some sport you can play in game that crashes the game. Seems to have been that way a very long time. They just pump out DLCs and don't seem to fix anything. The thaumaturge class is wildly broken tbh, and feels like they don't fit the theme much.
Crashes after 5 minutes in combat while playing coop, this game is unplayable, wouldn't play it even if it was free.
its very engaging at first but gets reptetive and boring soon after, i havent bought any dlcs as base game is long enough, maybe my mistake was to play locked leveling regions rather than adaptive which gets a bit grindy, battle tactics are there but there is 3 fights that you fight over and over, companions progress is nice and rewarding , proffessions at first amaze with numbers but then it just silly minigames from mobile games not really bad but cheap for sure, I think there are better games with this format with battles more engaging, look for xcom like etc hard to say whether recommend or not but because i have to i do not therefore my score 6/10, probably could get one down for so many paid not cheap dlcs
I don't necessarily hate the game. I mean, the core game mechanics is good but once you start to notice the DLCs that are required to progress the game. Then it will go sour quickly from there. So much wasted potential for this game! When it released a few years ago, it gave us a very promising future for this game, with its gameplay, atmosphere, world lore, and a lot of cool features. Who would have thought that it will be in a downward spiral to the point that a lot of us don't care anymore whenever they release an update/DLC. Because when they do, a HEFTY PRICE TAG goes with it, not to mention the quality was abysmal (poorly optimized), bugs are reeking everywhere, and a questionable game design/mechanics (DLC). After all of that you will really ask your self, did I pay this much $$$ for that worthless DLC? Anyway, what goes around comes around and I guess being GREEDY will really catch you in the end. I will really recommend this game 3 years ago but for now, you know the answer to that.
I supported this game in Early Access by paying the full price the dev asked for, but now I need to pay an additional $100 to play the full game. This Paradox-style DLC selling strategy is awful. Do not buy or support games from Shiro Games
At its core great game but unfortunatly with many bugs and quirks. And instead of fixing them, you get another DLC every other month, bringing in even more bugs. Can't recommend in the current state
