Boltgun is alright but I feel like it really overstays its welcome given the lack of variety. Enemy weaknesses and resistances manifest as arbitrary more or less damage depending on weapons you use on specific enemies, which is a fun nod to the games it's a spinoff of but leads to really static and samey interactions. Repetitive, but a perfectly serviceable and unnoteworthy boomershooter with a fun art style. I particularly enjoyed the details that went into making you FEEL like a giant suit of armor. It almost feels like you're piloting a heavy mech sometimes.
I wanted to enjoy this, but ended up being repetitive and bland. The game felt like it ticked the boxes for a minimal passing grade for a boom shoot affair with a Warhammer 40k lick of paint. If you really like Warhammer 40k and want to kill a few hours, buy it on sale and have fun with it until you get bored doing the same thing over and over.

Un Boomer Shooter de 40k? Hell yeah! Avec une présentation graphique similaire à Duke Nukem 3D, Boltgun offre l'action d'un gros Doom moderne. Ça brasse, ça explose, ça va vite! - Certains boss sont des éponges à balle, ça rend certains combat un peu longuets - Décors un peu répétitifs + Graphisme rétro hallucinant (les pixelarts sont fous!) + Difficulté adéquate qui offre un défi de taille et qui nous garde en haleine tout le long + Bonne durée de vie (10h à Normal + 6h pour le DLC environ) + Motions et musique top notch! Ouin achète ça, même si tu connais peut-être pas l'univers 40k c'pas important. Ça reste un excellent old school shooter!
Чувак, я пока не дошёл до финала Boltgun, но уже в восторге. Это чистый олдскульный экшен: болтер грохочет так, что хочется прибавить громкость, цепной меч кромсает врагов — кайф. Локации — как из кодекса 40k: мрачные цеха, алтари культистов, всё на месте. Враги не дают расслабиться: культисты лезут толпой, демоны норовят зайти со спины — приходится крутиться и комбинировать пушки. Сложность бодрая, не прощает ошибок, но это только затягивает. Короче, если любишь мясные шутеры и Вархаммер — бери, не пожалеешь. Я пока на середине, но уже ясно: игра — огонь!
