Firstly, I want to say the game is incredibly fun with a great backstory of the developers which has gained my full support. Now, there are too many awesome things to point out in a single paragraph. The game is so well made, has such a diverse group of things to do when it comes to how you approach the market, develop, and expand your financial empire. It's very much worth your time and investment. I love the ability to make some insane plays in the financial management portion of the company control menu when you're in full control. This be whether you choose a startup or "buyout" style approach. The banking aspect, the bonds, T notes.... Everything just clicks together so well. There are just too many things I can't even organize to explain how enjoyable this game is. Leveraging Debt or Funding Capital yourself to expedite company growth or R&D is just chefs kiss. Micro managing your funds to play the market to fund an investment is such a thrill. There are many ways to do it and I've had a couple good runs so far with a slow to then, compounding, methodical push to the three digit areas of the billions. Now, with a lot of the good things just kind of thrown together in an amalgam of fanboy writing, I want to share some of the things I would love to see. Below is a list of ideas that I think would benefit the game in greater ways; - World events having a greater impact on the market I say this as quite a few times already, major events which includes things like wars, have sparked around the globe and the markets just kind of felt stagnant as if they didn't react. This also includes the reaction of the commodities market when the fed tightens or eases interest rates, or when the market goes into a selling frenzy. - A more dynamic market that doesn't react to your purchasing of commodities/stocks (vastly more leaning towards the commodities) unless it makes sense I say this because one of the first things I've noticed is when you purchase a commodity such as gold or silver, it almost always dips drastically before you see a climb, and this can take months. I want to say I've done it close to 50 or 60 times and the reaction is almost always immediate. It's like it triggers an algorithm that immediately starts an almost mini game. The commodity could dip something like 50% for almost zero reason with nothing major happening in the news reel or in the event popups on your screen. It almost feels scripted, as if the living economy you're in get's an immediate, hidden, algorithmic change when a commodity is purchased. Now I could totally be wrong about this, and I could have just been super unlucky, but I feel as though I had made enough purchases to notice the trend without looking for it. I've also seen super volatile markets just sort of freeze for what feels like a half a year when I purchase a commodity, with the price only swinging a fraction of percent either way for those months. I wanted to write one more thing about how the market has these random spurts where tools like the moving average convergence divergence is so unbelievably wrong for zero reason. It's not as bad as I am making it sound, but is frustrating when there is no cause to the effect. - Better Difficulty Traits It would be nice if the higher the difficulty, the more world events happened and the less it focused on an AI component's aggression that you're up against. I find it way more fun navigating and attempting to beat the market than trying to beat some trivial AI player into the ground. Their existence is paramount, although I just don't think that should be the focus, but that's just me. TLDR; The game is a fantastic representation of the full spectrum of market trading, investing, and planning. This also includes creating your own startup and going for that zero to hero glory or even becoming your own bank! It's very much worth your time and investment and if you like these kinds of games you could easily spend HUNDREDS of hours trying to pierce that veil in a plethora of different ways to become the next big thing!

Great tycoon game! If you know anything about finance, this is sure to suck you in off the get-go. If you're like me with only a basic understanding, this is a great tool to learn more and get the great feeling of number go up without needing the millions required to become a wall street tycoon.

If you've been looking for the one simulator that can replicate the financial market, domestic and global economy, and simulate a tock market that reacts and behaves like the real stock market to game influences, you have landed on what you've been looking for. As near as I can tell, nothing in the game is out of tune with how the real world markets perform, including interest rate swaps, so you will have to have a good eye and forecasting brain to try to beat the current prediction and make money on a credit swap. As in real life, the game's mechanics and algorithms will not care how much notional currency the deal is being made off of, but instead, the counter-party will send a counter-offer if the terms are not in their favor to something a little more on their side as well as being near the terms you set forth in the first agreement. Additionally, you see and interact with the passion that Michael has for the game and the financial industry, as a whole. He has spent his life in the legal and financial dealings of Wall Street firms and he brings that knowledge and passion to the coding computer and lets it shine through in the game. While this game has been and still is) a WIP for ~40+ years, I like that he has kept the game and UI format the same, resisting potential urges and certainly gaming industry pressures to put some flashy graphics, fun animations, and upbeat soundtracks to artificially boost the desirability of the game and has kept it relatively similar, if not near-identical, to what you would interact with on a daily basis if this was your job. So, with that, I'd definitely recommend this game for those that were drawn to it and watch the video and think, 'Hmm, this kind of looks like what I've been wanting in a stock market game'. You know the developer isn't jumping ship in the middle of the night, just watch the video where he speaks to us and talks about what this is, what he sees it to be, and how he keeps staying on it and working on it until he thinks it is done; basically, his Opus. Get this game, you won't regret it like some other games that devs have abandoned ship after raking in your cash, and those games cost more than this one, like, say KSP2, or CS2, or Flashing Lights, etc ad nauseum. From one Michael to another, thank you for your passion in this game and your continued development. I know I'm not the only one that has years of gameplay enjoyment ahead of me with this game.

Thanks to Michael D. Jenkins and Hackjack Games! I've played both the standalone and Steam versions, and it's the most realistic simulation, hands down. Even if you know nothing about finance, you'll learn how the financial world works and how it reacts to different actions. And if, like me, you're passionate about finance, you'll feel like you're in a vast playground with endless possibilities. The game is well worth the price. I even bought both versions and I don't regret it. Don't be surprised by the rather steep learning curve, but that's perfectly understandable for such a complex game.
