Great game, my friend and I really enjoyed the ship building mechanic and the story line but we were quite sad when we got the end of the game and the island was empty, no more robots, no more exploration. We didnt know what to do. We would love to revisit the game if there was more to it after completion.

The atmosphere is great, the gameplay concept is great, and the game itself is simply a joy to play. Plus, the developers are constantly improving and adding new features, so the game is evolving at a good pace. If you're looking for something enjoyable to play, it's worth giving it a try. steampunk love

Very interesting concept, love playing it multiplayer with a friend, the game has a long way to go before it's all there and palatable to the masses, but it's great fun if you want a good open world game with a steampunk theme!

Hidden gem.

i love this game but the direction its going in for the future doesnt seem to be good at this given time, it was more free roam-ish but the devs seem to want to add alot of stuff to it, mainly with the currently "new island" beta which adds alot of elements, but they mainly feel like bloat, stuff like "fix the steam engine thing" in quests before you get to unlock the drillship, i feel like these are systemic issues with the new map, i payed for volcanoids 1.~ and still continue to expect to stay on it untill the devs iron out the later versions (which i hope and prey they do), if this ages like milk ill try to correct it but otherwise id recommend it for what it is as of me writing this, not for what the direction it is heading to currently (saying this as someone who bought the game in 2019 and stuck with it) (Update: devs plan to change direction a bit towards the classic gameplay loop for the new islands apparently so this review is redundant and i should like to mention that the new island beta despite still existing is optional and opt in, despite the bad talk about the direction it was going in this game is actually great and i highly recommend it)
