You need to play this. Such a breath of fresh air. 10/10
It has a good concept but when you get to the point where messing with builds makes sense (you must have a couple late game upgrades for this to have any meaning, plus the resources barely drop until the late game), you're actually already done with everything. Essentially you unlock the coolest mechanics at the end of the game, and there's only one end-game dungeon, which is by far the least interesting of all of them. It's close to greatness, but misses the mark. I hope they update it or make a sequel.

morfang is really fun to mess around with though i do wish there was a way to breed freely and explore option in the normal game without having to fight every 5 minutes. i think the best part of this game is the breeding and evolution the creatures are cute although clipping could use some work, though beyond the cons in this reveiw i would highly reccomend this game to anyone its a blast even with its faults.

Great third person action arcade like shooter game that reminds me if you combined pokemon with the breeding evolutions almost. The graphics are simple but great. Gameplay and mechanics are also phenomenal and there is a huge variety in the number of creatures and abilities to choose from. Despite all the thought and creativity that went into the creatures and abilities, the campaign still feels like it's lacking and this is from someone who really doesn't focus on campaigns at all. Nonetheless, it is still fun and enjoyable. Voidling Bound still leaves a massive future potential.
This game rocks. Easy to learn, fun to play, and tons of customization to keep the player entertained for many many runs.

I feel like this game lacks a bit of endgame depth which I had hoped would be there, but for the price I got more than my money's worth of entertainment out of it.
This is easily one of my favourite games of 2026, hands down, and IMO a solid contender for GOTY! As someone who's been a massive fan of Skylanders for years, this scratches that itch for a new game I've had for almost a decade, and the team behind this (which happen to be former developers of the Skylanders series) did an incredible job at capturing Skylanders' distinct style and gameplay feel, while at the same time also feeling like its own thing with both original elements and some inspired from games like Spore! Perhaps we could call it Sporelanders? XD I love just about everything about this game, from its style/aesthetic, to its interesting premise, to its beautiful world design and adorably bizarre creatures, and let's not forget it's very fluid and addictively fun gameplay, which I can best describe as sort of like a mix of Skylanders' and Ratchet & Clank's combat and various gameplay mechanics. Not to mention the more Zen parts at home base where I essentially raise these creatures, have them perform tasks to improve/level up, make 'em breed and incubate/hatch eggs to get more Voidlings, they give me some serious Palworld vibes, but without any of the animal abuse obviously. XD (I know there's a bunch of games those elements could be compared to, but Palworld is the one I'm most familiar with.) NGL I had so much fun livestreaming Voidling Bound on launch day, and while live I didn't even realized I had played it for 4 hours straight on-stream because of how fast time flew by playing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzZzfBwy7-c While I haven't finished the game yet (I've had a lot on my plate lately), but after sinking 10 hours into it so far, already I love this game enough to deem Voidling Bound is one of the BEST games of 2026, and an absolute must-play, at $25 it's more than worth it!
