Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Valheim is a collaborative exploration and survival game for 1-10 players set in a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology. Craft powerful weapons, construct elaborate halls, and slay mighty foes to prove yourself to Odin!

Discover an immersive procedurally generated world, with different biomes that each have their distinct environments, unique resources and dangerous enemies. Become a Viking and sail the open seas in search of lands unknown, alone or with up to nine friends!

The Tenth World has been corrupted by hateful forces, in the shape of mighty regional bosses known as the Forsaken. Hone your skills with axes, blades and bows, and prepare yourself by crafting the very best equipment – for it is only by defeating these Forsaken that you will advance in your progress and prove yourself to the Allfather.

Raise Viking longhouses and build bases that offer reprieve from the dangers ahead. Whether you build a small shelter, an entire village or a mountain-side fortress, defence and structural integrity are important, as is decorating it for maximum comfort!

As you discover new materials, you will learn new recipes for crafting, building and cooking – all that a Viking might need! The food system is rewarding rather than punishing, granting you boons and benefits depending on what you eat, and is directly tied to the combat system, where your health and stamina might be just the thing that makes a difference between life and death.
Community-translated languages
In addition to the officially supported languages, Valheim has several community-translated languages. As the name would suggest, these are all translated by fans and members of the community, and the process is frequently ongoing. Thus, we cannot guarantee the quality or completeness of any specific translation.
Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Played it when it came out in Steam early days. Now picked it back up some weeks ago with a friend and must say it just doesnt feel like anything changed in the early game until mid game. I miss a lot of quality of life changes that I would have expected after more than 4 years of development.
Nunca olvides tu escudo.

I think this game has amazing potential to be a great game (and I hope it does)! Some of the good things: 1. It's a base-builder with a ton of exploration and a lot of grinding for materials. If you love running around and exploring, long boat trips, managing and collecting materials, and systematically upgrading your gear, you'll like this game. 2. I found the world fun to explore, and the current biomes I've traversed (through Plains) all are pretty unique and have different caveats that make them easier/harder. 3. Upgrades feel like upgrades, and while the combat isn't anything stellar, each weapon feels unique and impactful. Armor provides different aesthetic choices as well as strategic buffs (for light armor), and growing/managing food buffs was actually a fairly unique take on needing to "eat" in these types of games. The bad: 1. *STAMINA MANAGEMENT* I will fight everyone on this, as it is *awful*. There is no easy way to traverse this world, and often times, you are sprinting/jumping to get through areas which constantly drains your stamina. Is it nighttime/cold? Stamina recovers slower. Oh, you're wet? Stamina recovers slower. Oh, you just traversed an area and all of a sudden you need to fight a group of mobs? Stamina recovers slower on top of needing to swing your weapon/dodge/run/block. Even as a soulslike veteran, I find this to be exceedingly punishing, even while doing things to mitigate it (food/well-rested/etc.) It makes traversing the world less enjoyable and certain types of encounters tedious. Lessening (not eliminating) stamina depletion outside of combat would seem like a decent fix, but just my opinion. 2. Death: I am no stranger to needing to recover your body in these types of games. However, I think it is exceedingly punishing in a game where the world is huge and you unexpectedly die in an area where you haven't built a portal. An example is you just sailed twenty minutes to go find a new area to mine ore, and the RNG Gods have decided that once you land, every enemy will spawn and through being clumsy, you die. Now you have no gear, no boat, no portal to get back, and you've lost 5% of your experience on all your skills. Your body is in a hostile area, and it may take a significant amount of time to strategize and recover it. You also can't really equip a spare set of gear/weapon because your inventory was full when you died, so recovering your body can't even be immediate, which leads to 3. Inventory management: Other than a specific item increasing your carrying capacity, I haven't found anything that increases your inventory slots. Equipment (regardless of size or weight) takes up one space, and between weapons, armor, arrows, extra food, and utility items, you may only be left with maybe 10 or so inventory slots. While I don't mind needing to manually move things like ore (which can't be teleported currently by me), this makes collecting certain materials more tedious than challenging, especially in a larger group. 4. Certain RNG encounters: After completing certain things in game, random events will occur where a swarm or type of enemy will engage you. I had an experience playing alone at base where this event occurred and spawned 4 one-star enemies along with a mini-boss. Even having eaten the best food, having the most current weapons and armor, and essentially preparing for the fight, it was an essentially un-winnable battle which feels bad. I have never minded difficulty or challenges in any game I play, but this felt very off-putting and actually made me shut the game off for a bit. This game is still a *wonderful* game and I think it has a ton of potential and I truly hope it succeeds, but still needs some improvement in a couple areas. Absolutely love the aesthetic and the vibe. I hope some changes are made and it continues to be successful.
The first few hours feel empty and devoid of diverse wildlife, you will kill the same boring things over and over, if you expect a polished, fast-paced modern survival game like I did coming from Conan Exiles, this may be a let down. Pros: Immersive atmosphere and pretty decent weather/lighting systems. Cool concept. Cheaper/Lower priced compared to major survival games. Cons: Clunky Combat and movement pacing feel incredibly sluggish and slow. Feels like I am playing someone's weekend project that never got finished. Frustrating building snap system is incredibly finicky. For a title in EA for 5 years this is disappointing and I just don't get the hype. I will keep playing and may change my mind and review but as of 4 hours in, its very bland.
