For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About
Utopia Must Fall is a vector-flavored base-defending arcade shooter with rapid progression, procedurally generated attack waves and enough upgrade variety to suit both the defensive or aggressive player.
It incorporates elements from tower defense, roguelikes and beyond, all neatly packaged into a laser-sharp bullet-purgatory arcade frenzy!
Easy To Learn: firing happens automatically, just steer the city's turret and launch the occasional sky-clearing nuclear warhead. Each day of survival is rewarded with an upgrade for your defenses, choose wisely to keep humanity alive for as long as possible.
Sizable Upgrade Tree: progress is fast and allows you to pick strategies to suit your playing style — beef up your rail gun into a multi-barrel death machine, strengthen your shield's auto defense abilities, deploy and configure an array of autonomous battle drones and laser turrets, or go all out on aggression and see out Utopia's final days with a stockpile of nukes and a shotgun the size of a building.
Arcade-Focused: In Utopia, all universes are created equal, and death is final. Earn upgrades and unlock new abilities by completing mini-challenges as you defend the city. There is a light meta-progression now that allows you to unlock Opportunity Upgrades to use in later runs, but the vast majority of options are unlocked with skill as opposed to grind. Get good to get the good stuff!
Laser-Shiny: built with our own V99 graphics engine, bringing you the retro-modern vector arcade style you didn't know you needed yet.

This game is super cool - the visual style, sound effects, and gameplay are all stunning. Absolutely worth the price, especially if you get it on sale.
When I first saw this game I knew I had to try it out as it reminded me a lot of old school games like Missie Command as well as having a style so brilliant that it looks like it s running on a Vetrex. Talking of that look and style, if you spend a little time in the menu options you can change how the game looks to so many different styles that it is even worth it just for that as you can change how the game looks so much and each one has such a distinct look all of it's own. Now I wont claim to know exactly what is going on most of the time in this game but it is so much fun and a little frenetic as well. I like that upgrades are not necessarily linear, and what you choose each time really does effect how you play the game and what future upgrades are available to you. I love how the game mechanics are fairly simple so you literally are picking it up and playing right away and you can just load it up and play a few games when you have 20-30 minutes free as this really have the arcade gameplay and feel down to a t. This is one of my favourite new games I have played this year (we are 9 months in so far) and I can't see that changing before the year is out.

Missile Command but it has class-building, and it's sprinkled with roguelite mechanics. Need I truly say more?
Beautiful, simple, replayable
cool
I am in love with the vector rendering for this game, particularly all the different graphics option. It is beautiful. Up there with Rhythm Storm for retro aesthetic with modern GPUs.
solid turret mechanics. upgrades provide nice replayability. lots of potential.
too lazy to write but i just hope more updates will come because you the game needs more progression or modes or something
Like Missile Command and Tempest had a roguelite baby. Music is really good too, way better than it ought to be for a game like this - sounds like Moog synthesizer influenced. Lots of configuration options on the display if you really want to tweak the graphics to look like your favorite outdated vector monitor. Got this on sale, but I would have gladly paid full price at $8.99.
This game is really awesome, it has a fantastic asthetic with these little attention to details that makes it have such a great design like how we zoom out of the city we defend. I finally reached the second boss that had a health bar for the second time and I can certainly that it doesn't matter how good of a build you focus on, everything needs a buff except the scale of the foes. Don't get me wrong I LOVE a challenge, but when progression is tied to performing niche kill actions, then enemies don't need to escape before ever appearing in the first place. almost immediately by the 7th wave your primary weapon, support outposts, and hell even the nukes do almost nothing to help you get the perfect kill order or total wipe out of a squad before a single tiny minute mistake takes away what would have been nearly a very tiny bit more towards another "contract". I don't particularly love a single one of the primary weapon upgrades, the trash cannon is literally trash and should either be replaced or massively buffed, hell even the lovably comic telegraph pole launcher needs both damage and fire rate. the wave requirement to get more impact damage for every weapon should be reduced and more upgrades should more commonly add small amounts to this. finally dev I hope your reading this and don't think I'm trashing your game amigo, but we seriously need the small bonuses to either be much more rewarding or at least easier to pull off past wave 3. I tried going absolutely ham on the primary weapon and was constantly gate kept from the kind of damage needed for many of the bonuses, other times I would miss the very first target in the line and it would just barely pop into formation and then it became worthless to even bother continuing to focus that particular squad. other times I would massacre the beginning of a wave just to have the last 10 of them immediately break their flight path and escape before the next bullet of a 3600 rpm weapon even got to touch them. also like I mentioned earlier, some enemies just wouldn't even appear and have already escaped because I took out less than half their squad. mostly dev I would scale back on how fast the enemies gain HP, make them act slightly more consistently, still have them panic and fly crazily around screen when most of the squad was wiped. offer a few more chances and type of ways to get bonuses. Add a grace period to get bonuses (like for annhilation change it to wipe the squad before they get in formation AND fire the first round at you.) then just add slightly more damage to most of your damage sources, mostly just incrementally through most of the upgrades.
