這個評論是玩過很久之後評的，所以不一定準確，本作個人認為是鏽湖家族篇外最扣人心弦的一部了（應該說是沒過多牽涉到家族），通過列車不斷行進，見證勞拉從出生到老去，最後與鏽湖合二為一，達成自己的使命，劇情和解密都量大管飽，鸚鵡哈維友情客串，隱藏也不少，總之本作很贊，也期待新作！
我终于，看到繁花盛开 锈湖系列截止目前的最后一部作品，主线为劳拉的人生经历。锈湖系列作品的角色仿佛一生都充斥着不幸，始于猫头鹰先生的罪恶家族，威廉牺牲于长生药，侦探困于家庭悲剧，鲍勃陷进心理疾病，劳拉也命途多舛，虽然获得了第二次生命，但又被无情地夺走，最终无奈融于锈湖。我认为锈湖系列不仅仅是游戏，它们的价值更在于启示，在我们游玩的过程中，期间有“牺牲自己换狗永生”这样令人忍俊不禁的情节，让我们发笑；有极其离谱、脑洞大开的迷题设计，足以让我们抓耳挠腮破解后恍然而懊恼；有每一部都非常经典的“火柴点燃万物”等操作，让我们为猜到了制作者的想法而雀跃；但更多的是一个又一个的悲剧，一个神棍家族的长生梦，点燃的不仅仅是一个母亲，一个孩子，它变成了炎魔，双手抓住了另外两个家族，将自己连同身边的一切都烧尽。 爱而不得、家破人亡、妻离子散、母替子殁，如此之多的哀景引起屏幕前玩家的共情，更是久久无法释怀。但一部优秀的作品，不能没有悲剧，更不能只写悲剧，剧情看似悲剧贯穿始终，但主线却萌发出一个又一个的嫩芽：卡罗琳、艾玛、罗丝对孩子毫无保留的母爱，侦探一家其乐融融的生日氛围，猫头鹰先生与乌鸦、鹦鹉之间的完全信任，鲍勃与劳拉的美丽相遇，就像是加在一杯黑咖啡里一粒又一粒的白砂糖，初尝苦涩无比，细品方觉暗藏的甜蜜。这些分支避免了让整个故事成为冬天里的枯树毫无生机，诠释着爱与希望是永恒不变的主题。这也是为何锈湖明明没有其他解谜游戏那样优美精细的画面与丰富多彩的互动，却始终在解谜游戏界富有声誉。它用着具有年代感的2D平面设计，用一点一滴的细节、无微不至的心意做出了解谜游戏界中至今无人超越的剧情，让锈湖从一部作品真正成为了“第九艺术”。这部作品的意义就在于，每当我们偶然听到经典的BGM:Family Tune之时，我们便能记起曾经有一部作品，让我们流连忘返，让我们沉浸其中，让我们不觉喟叹“人生长恨水长东”，让我们能更深地理解“爱”千金不换的弥足珍贵。
