Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 9 → 3.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The graphics, the style, the characters, the music, the combos, all of it is awesome. This is one of the coolest fighting games you can play right now. Playing it offline or with friends, this is probably one of the best and most fun fighting games in the past few years. Online with randoms is BRUTAL. Matches are very one-sided and can leave a bad taste in your mouth. The netcode is great though. There aren't many beginners or low level players playing this, it's mostly just the top levels left.. Find some friends to play this with, and you'll all have a great time!
The skill ceiling in this game is crazy. If you're new to this game, try out BlazBlue: CentralFiction instead. BBCF is an older game, but has a much larger roster in case none of the characters here fit your fighting archetype and has (personally) simpler mechanics to follow. The character gimmicks for BBCF are also easier to pick up and learn without issue aside from a few but that's to be expected with every fighter game. In this game, most combos are formed with half circles, and you only get ABC movements(?) attacks(?) instead of ABCD. You may be saying "That sounds way easier! Compared to a game with all four keys being used, and with complicated combos to land, this would obviously be easier?". But to my experience, no. I've spent around 10-20 hours trying out different characters and they all have.. difficult movesets to just pick up and learn along the way. All of them have complex gimmicks that would take at least a hundred hours to even get the hang of, in my eyes. Maybe it's just because this is a new game, but everything about it feels so complicated and clunky. I hope to edit this review when I improve.

Y'all are sleeping on this fighter. All normals cancel into each other, either on hit or block. Yes, that includes heavies into lights. GRD system is super fun to interact with. You get a free damage buff passively and you receive this game's version of a roman cancel. If you master GRD control, you can control the game much better, but your opponent will be doing the same, so find opportunities to snipe it when they're not ready. Took me over 600 hours to get to the highest rank. Only thing this game lacks is players, but you can find games in ranked. Pick this game up on a sale and give it a shot
Dead, and the discord is beyond worthless. They'd rather goon and play Balatro.
After thousands of hours in other fighting games, Under Night really is that fighting game where you never run out of things to keep exploring. The vast amount of depth and variety in each character is pretty much unmatched. The reward for bringing in fighting game fundamentals honed in another title is unmatched. The soundtrack is unmatched. This game is just simply on its own level. If you've been one of the masses saying that fighting games have gotten too stale, too homogenized, too boring - Under Night will keep you engaged for an eternity. Just getting advanced combos down in this game is enough to make my old man fighting game heart go brrrrr again with the joy of mastering something and pulling it off in match. Highly welcoming community of players who are eager to pull in new folks and show them the ropes. I had forgotten how nice it is to be a part of smaller fighting game communities until I started wandering around in the UNI2 discord and chatting with local players about the game. UNI2 is peak. If you like fighting games you should pick this one up.
I've been playing Under Night since UNIEL's PS3 release, and I have a good couple hundred hours of this one already on Switch, so take my word here when I say that this is a fighting game worth learning. The traditional elements of the game are incredibly free-form with a high skill ceiling, but without ever feeling cumbersome or overwhelming. Even shorter basic A-B-C-Special combos can carry most characters' gameplans if you understand strike/throw and high/low pressure fairly well. Guarding is hard, but the rewards in meter gain and overall strength of out of guard options make it a worthwhile endeavor. Neutral is weighty and both players feel like they have good options to both get in and keep their opponents away in most cases. When it all starts coming together in a good match, you enter a flow state that makes you feel unstoppable. Additionally, I also think that this is the unique GRD system at its strongest. The constant tug of war over a winner-takes-all resource that rewards careful improvisation and planning in equal measure makes stronger offense more desirable, and makes careful defense even more rewarding when it lets the pendulum swing back even harder in your favor the moment you get a hit confirm. Newer mechanics like the Celestial Vorpal (higher damage bonus given for having 6+ GRD spots filled) and the new advancing guard option really do give fights an even more complex rhythm. Online used to be pretty difficult and unwieldy, and many people keep saying "Dead Game" in the review section here, but I've been learning Ogre and easily finding a new set of players every night (playing quite a fair bit of the cast to boot). Connection is pretty much always stable, and the rollback ensures that matches never feel too slow or delayed. If you're used to playing older anime fighters with maybe a dozen players online at any given time it'll feel pretty good (I'm a Western Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax player, I know what I'm talking about). In an era where most fighting games can easily climb up past the triple digit number for full-game pricing, a nominally $60 dollar complete package that is this deep and rewarding is easily worth your time. Long live the night.
its fine, but it aint worth 50 bucks
