I waited a long time for this after playing the demo. It is bioshock-esque but still very unique. Atmosphere is a 10/10. Story is good so far. A lot of mistery. Opening sale is 13,49 €. Even for the regular price a must buy and it would still be steal. For this price easily a 10/10 game (so far). Easily worth at least 20 € or more.

I was pretty hard on the demo, but I can confirm the final game is a lot of fun so far. The developer has put in a lot of work since the demo, and it shows, as I feel like many of the problems I had with it have been addressed. For experienced shooter players, I recommend the hard mode - health and ammo seems to have the right level of scarcity. That being said, for the negative side of things: the shooting mechanics are definitely resembling of that 2007-2009 era as well, and it can feel a little floaty for those used to modern games. This can be seen as a feature or a fault. As well, it's a $15 indie game, so don't expect any AAA level of polish/detail. That being said, it's well worth the price and most folks will have a lot of fun with it.
I am six hours into this game and for all that it has going for it I am only keeping with it for the virtue of seeing it through. This is in a lot of ways a great experience - wonderful music, nice setting, interesting visuals, the aesthetics are fine in every way. After hour 3, things are feeling same-y. Combat feels like a slog, 2-3 enemies that you've seen before in the same configurations you've seen them, and thats been my experience until hour 6 ish. I'm taking more hits now because I'm not playing this game as though it's a game, I'm just trying to force myself to get to the next point and wrap things up. The gameplay, the weapons, seem like add ons to a great setting, and idea. I want to support this dev. I'm glad I bought in, but I am not enjoying myself anymore. Changed my mind, Just watched the ending. Stupid plot twist. I'm done.
A lot of potential, but still misses the mark
Finished in 3.5 hours on medium difficulty. Quick explanation, I'm mostly looking for fun combat mechanics when I play a fast paced shooter like this, so the story, which is not that good is not something that I think it's detrimental for me liking it, the combat though, it's really basic.
What is good?
- It looks good, the art style and idea is fun. - Good amount of guns.
What is bad?
Too many items here but I will to highlight some: - Enemies -> Their movement is so basic, they either stay fair shooting, barely moving, or just run slowly straight to you. It's clear for me that's the biggest issue in the entire game, when you compare to a good boomer shooter like Turbo Overkill, the difference is just too big. You never feel pressured or the enemy actually manages to evade your shots. - Guns balancing - That second pistol is just too powerful, there's almost no reason to use anything other than it, it one-shot headshots many enemies, the fact that the game does not really put you in a situation that you NEED to change guns makes it boring. You should either not have ammo sometimes or enemies should have different weakpoints that point you towards changing weapons. - Difficulty - It blends with the two items above, I have played this on medium difficulty, which should not be all that challenging, I know, but I didn't die a single time to the enemies, only by falling outside of the map. I don't ever recall a game that I played that the enemies never ever didn't pose any challenge, you can just run straight shooting everything without any care. - Story - Is okay, not that good, besides the voice acting which is quite nice. I don't care much about a story for a game like this, mostly the combat mechanics are what I'm looking for. - Boss fight - It's baffling, there's no challenge at all, just active the switch and shoot, the boss almost does not hit you, what is even the point? - Replayability - I really don't understand the obsession with making things that you need to replay the game for, specially when there's nothing interesting in the "secrets" anyway. What I think would make the game better? - Enemies Movement - You need to make the enemies move a lot faster, otherwise they will never make you miss or pressure you at all. I would also suggest that the enemies either jump or move in arches, so that you are not always shooting at enemies that are ground level. The fire teleporting enemy should teleport much quicker, it's predictable the way that it is currently. - Ammunition - Focus on giving more ammo of the guns you just got instead of giving ammo for the early guns everytime, there's no point in using that super shotgun, rocket launcher currently, for example. If you give a lot of ammo for the long ranged weapons, specially that broken pistol (pirate gun), it hinders the other guns of being used. - Money - Just make the enemies drop all the tickets instead, there's no point in hitting melee everywhere, I would say that if I didn't have to do that, the game would be 3 hour long.
This is a solid Bioshock-lite fps that does what it sets out to do
I can’t help but love this game. The aesthetic pays explicit homage to BioShock, while the gameplay and mechanics feel original by comparison. The fact that the developer made branching paths for multiple playthroughs shows a level of thought and consideration that I don’t see very often. And of course, it’s an amusement park filled with furries, how could I say no to that? I feel like I would’ve very much enjoyed Mr. Twisted’s films. 10/10
A great little indie boomer shooter. Positives - fantastic atmosphere - guns feel great to shoot.. for the most part - an interesting story that has more thought put into it than usual for this sort of game - fairly linear and uncomplicated - long enough to tell a story, but short enough to not wear out its welcome. Negatives - could've used a little more polish... but this is an indie game, so any complaints about polish make me feel like a food critic complaining that the salt to butter ratio was just a tad off for an otherwise tasty little dish. If you have any interest in a short little boomer shooter that doesn't waste your time, this is a great one.
Fantastic game, exactly the kind of concise and entertaining experience I was looking for
Dodatkowo, gdy ukończymy rozgrywkę, to odblokujemy alternatywne ścieżki. 7,5/10
