Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Truxton Extreme delivers white-hot shooter thrills for masters and novices alike. Take down hordes of alien invaders with your Power Shot, Truxton Beam, Thunder Laser, Homing Shot, Star‑mine Shot, and more! Don't forget to breathe as you face off against gigantic bosses in the ultimate battle for humanity’s survival
The game’s content, sound, and visuals have all evolved since the 80s. Truxton Extreme is now fully rendered in 3D while preserving the series’ iconic design. Staring insect-like faces, writhing metal tentacles, long mechanical serpents, glowing eye-like lights, and spikes… In Truxton Extreme, you’ll face your worst nightmares—and blow them to pieces!
Truxton has always been famous for its soundtrack, and Truxton Extreme is no exception. Original mastermind Masahiro Yuge returns with an explosive new score, packed with excitement and atmosphere. Experience iconic Truxton tracks reimagined from the original games alongside brand-new music. It’s the best of both worlds!
There are multiple ways to enjoy Truxton Extreme. The main mode is Story, where you follow three characters, level up as you go, and experience the narrative through an epic (and animated) manga series. For traditionalists, there's Arcade, and if you want more firepower, Team will let you play together with a friend and share your lives and score. Then there's a blistering score-attack Arena, Training and Tutorial too!
Do you love unlocking bonus content in games? Well, it’s your lucky day! In Model Viewer, you can check out the enemies you’ve defeated. And don’t forget to visit the mysterious Pipiru Village, home of all the cute Pipiru creatures. What happens when you evolve their home…?
Truxton was conceived by Masahiro Yuge during his time at Toaplan, with the goal of creating a scrolling shooter where muscle memory was key. But Yuge wasn’t just a programmer, he was a classically trained pianist, bringing a unique and critically acclaimed approach to game design

OMG...I love it. I've played like 5mins and can tell this is Truxton from my Mega drive youth. If you liked the orignal then I thnk this is for you.
No complicated system & story, it is purely for fun. That's what used to be called Video Games

I've seen a lot of positive coverage of this game so I thought I should give it a try. When I began playing I felt like I must be doing something wrong. It felt like I couldn't have been playing a game. My reaction can be summed up in a single word: Boring. How bad was it? I could not make it through stage 2. I tried again just before writing this, and I couldn't even bmake it past Stage 1. It just drags on. It's twice as long as it should be. I'm a lifelong shooting game fan, but I will say that the original Arcade version of Truxton/Tatsujin and the Mega Drive version weren't super my thing. But boring is one thing I wouldn't call them. Shmups by their very design are just not that. They force you to make some kind of decision, constantly, even if they are on the easier side. In Truxton Extreme it feels like I spend more time waiting for things to happen, than actually doing anything. I can only make guesses as to the decision-making process that lead to this, but I think it's clear that an effort was made to appeal more to beginners. Which is laudable. I wish more games made proper attempts at onboarding new players into the genre. And I do hope a lot of new players discover this genre for themselves because of this game, because I want my buddies to find shmups for themselves and I can tell them "Haha you see why I like this stuff now? Maybe you'll become a bullet hellhound still!" The problem is that the veteran players seem to be an afterthought. Arcade mode is not available from the start. You unlock it rather quickly, but there are no difficulty settings from the get-go. If there are, I'm not sure how to unlock them. Metaprogression in the form of unlocks in a shmup is a thing I'm very wary of whenever I see it. It's not always bad, but when you have to unlock basic features of the game, like difficulty modes, it most definitely is. I also want to mention the aspect ratio here, because it might not be obvious to everyone, but a horizontal aspect ratio in a vertical game is kind of insane. Not like it can't be done (see: Under Defeat's New Order Mode or Grand Cross ReNovation,) but the aspect ratio changes how challenges and behaviors need to be designed. Truxton Extreme attempts this by making the player's maximum speed faster and giving most shot types more horizontal coverage. Unfortunately the number of enemies has not been adjusted, and they are spread out over large areas very often, which slows down the game's pace more than you'd think given the changes to speed and shots. Finally, I want to say, that I wish I didn't have to give this game a negative review. I'd love for more shmups by professional studios to exist in these days, and I understand they have to be "console-ified" to some extent, but this just wasn't it for me.
MADE IN JAPAN.
Superb. Game is very well thought out and very fun to play. Has plenty both for casual play and also hardened scorers. Even has low latency option for Nvidia users. The comics included are really great too.
