Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Alright look. I have the autism, so a train game is going to get my thumbs up. But for the sake of the review, let's talk about why this game is absolutely excellent and worth the small cost it asks for. The incremental nature satisfies the dopamine numbers-go-brr part of the brain, but it's also incredibly well balanced. It starts off just like the train does, slow, laboured, chugging away, working on getting small upgrades run by run, and as you start to upgrade and get your train more powerful and more upgraded, you start chugging along through the levels, focused on your stockpile of materials and resources. It is incredibly well balanced, and the upgrade tree is EXPANSIVE, I've seen trees as big with 100x less intelligent design (Path of Exile 2 I'm looking at you). You absolutely are planning your next upgrades, and the grind of the train along the tracks is second nature to the planning of upgrades, resource management, and balancing act of firepower and economical efficiency. Chasing down orbs is rewarding, and so are the incrementally staggered upgrades. Once you hit the lightning mode, you can really start planning your grind better. OH, and of course, the firepower itself! Well, it's great! Again, incredibly well balanced, and it scratches the itch. Whilst the initial thought on this game from me was "OOH TRAIN GAME GO GO GADGET AUTISM", I was so absolutely pleased to find it's an INCREDIBLY well balanced incremental that leads into automation and resource management, in a cute train themed game that honestly could've charged at least 5x more than I paid for it ($6.21 AUD on special by the way, what a BARGAIN). The achievements are great, not locked behind a ridiculous time wall or anything else, and feel natural to acquire, and what's more, are rewarding. This is a really, really good game. Get it. For the autism, and for the general satisfaction of it. It's an absolute delight. Choo choo!

Trainatic is what I like to call an “Active-Incremental-Game. It’s a fun little puzzle game that starts off simple but steadily introduces new mechanics that keep things interesting. The basic concept is simple, like with most of these kinds of games, but feels very rewarding. You have a train, you shoot stuff around the train, gather resources, upgrade the skill tree, more trainwagons, different weapons, new maps, new objective, buff cars so it is important how you set up the train and so on. While simple in concept it gives you that itch of an incremental game with numbers going brrrrr, and slowly processes become faster and faster. While you can’t fully go afk for most of the game towards the end you unlock some features for this. The reward loop will definitely keep you hooked until you completed the game. Trainatic is a perfect game to kill a couple of hours, while watching or listing to something and relax while things on your screen explode and numbers go higher and higher =)
Late game is an unnecessary grindfest. - You basically need almost all available upgrades at any time to progress in late game - i.e. game doesn't reward the player for being clever, but just for wasting time - Not enough to have all the key upgrades, but also some bonuses you get in the achievements tab - the utility of those is hard to track.... again, rewards player for just playing, not for thinking - Story is incomplete
A fun incremental game that slowly turns into an idler. Trainatic's progression system works incredibly well for the length of the game. Every upgrade actually felt like it mattered all the way to the end game and through that the transistion into an idler did not feel forced and awkward, it just kind of happened naturally. It was a lot of fun jsut swapping my train cars around to find the ideal combination for maximum efficiency. While almost all the upgrades were useful I definitely felt the grenade launcher was lacking real bad compared to even the first pea shooter I started with, but everything else more than made up for it. A good time and scratches that itch for more trains in my life.
I'll broadly agree with the other reviews. Game is kinda fun, but not spectacular. It's best early on, but the way the game evolves makes it less fun through the mid and late game. If you like incrementals and you can get it cheap, it's worth considering.
Boring game. Not worth your time. Even when AFK.
Great little game. But the endgame it to grindy for me.
The endgame felt a bit off like they didn't really know how to balance it, but it was a cool concept executed fairly well. Worth the price of admission.
