Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not that bad, it reminded me of the days when monster hunter wasnt on console or pc

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Aug 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Controls are awful and contorller support appears to be broken. Terrible port,
5/10: A fun but ultimately mediocre Monster Hunter clone
This game has more faults than it's good parts, so I'll cover the good first.
The Good
First off, as a port from a handheld system, this game runs smooth on my machine, in fact it would probably run smoothly on a potato. The gameplay is much faster paced than the Monster Hunter games that were released in its heyday, and there were far more weapons and movesets I found fun, than I did with Monster Hunter. The ranged weapons are far more intuitive and less clunky than the ranged weapons in MH before MH World came out with support for mouse on PC. While there is grinding and RNG for monster parts and loot, Toukiden 2 is far less tedious in that department than MH is, and with the faster gameplay and thus TTK, you end up spending less time grinding away for materials to upgrade what you need. The Mitama system is also interesting, allowing you to create a near endless number of builds to min max and theorycraft around. However thats where the good stuff ends.
The Bad
End of the day, this is a port from handheld to PC. You're stuck playing on 1080p without proper borderless windowed gameplay. The graphics are mediocre, even if I want to be fair about it's origins. The art style and music is generic and forgettable. And while there is more story here than any MH game released so far, it's nothing special and just more excuses to go out and beat up oni and wear their carcass like any MH game. With Toukiden 2, Koei again shows of their absolute incompetence in game design. It's no wonder this franchise died. The game starts out laughably easy in and of itself, and made even easier by how incredibly competent your AI companions are compared to the absolutely useless AI hunters in recent MH games. The first few missions can be completed without lifting a single finger as the AI does as much damage as you, with the added benefit they can of course input read the enemies and have pitch perfect reflex over their movesets. It starts getting difficult later on when you finish the story missions and get into High Rank multiplayer missions (that can be played solo with AI companions). However the difficulty is absolutely not based on a tight rhythm or strategic pressure applied by enemies like against most MH fights. The difficulty comes from missions now throwing you into fights with 2 large onis at a time, that now have moves that either track, or hits the entire arena, and they also stun, freeze or knock you back. Throw in constantly spawning minor creatures that also generally do the same thing, but with less damage. "Gitting gud" is counter productive as unlike the NPC companions, the controls are utter ♥♥♥♥♥, and your defensive tools are behind a mind boggingly bad control layout, that constantly makes your character take unintended moves. Really "gitting gud" is abusing your near invulnerable NPC companions by simply using a stun element rifle with pierce ammo, since for some reason Koei never balanced ranged weapons, and you get to enjoy the same armor rating as melee, and be able to shoot across the entire map. You then support the NPCs by staying out of the way and not dying, since dying requires the NPCs to nanny you, reducing their DPS and risking them from fainting as well trying to revive you.
Conclusion
This game is fun while it lasted, but it is absolutely not worth its full price. Get it if you're craving MH gameplay, but you've cleaned out every game in the MH catalogue AND Wild Hearts, and it's on 90% sale, and the $5 you are spending would have been wasted on somthing like the lottery anyway.
It's like Monster Hunter was made in Japan!
no Mouse, only Keyboard so i guess if you have controller give it a try
