Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 16 → 4.86/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

GÅ PÅ!!!!!
its pretty good got decent unit variety and uniqueness with some realism and factors that nations if handle correctly could have actually industrialized before serious colonization occured some mechanics are kinda meh like you cant make formations quickly like in rome and medieval 2 which is a absolute pain in the butt other than that the gameplay is alright be mindful of destroying structures as it will make the game tank like crazy you could go from decent frames to none real quick if not careful but its a good game overall with darn near global conquest straight up closest we got to real TOTAL WAR at this scale but i still much prefer rome era to late medieval period the best but pike and shot could have been cool as well which we have yet see in any of their games we only see it partially in this game early game and medieval 2 at late period of each nation right around gun powder introduction also one last thing dont play india in this they have no access to late game infantry tactic like fire and advance or fire by rank and you will be stuck with early 1600s fighting styles just with a lot more guns
Old graphics but it makes up for it in the gameplay
I got this game a zillion years ago and never bothered with a review, perhaps that says it all. I'll try to be brief. This game really deserves a `Mixed` to even a thumbs down. Basically CA took on too much with this idea. They'll never admit it, but they did. An almost entire world at war was too ambitious. The AI is terrible. The Diplomatic AI is stupid for the most part , as in the Iroquai of America demanding SCOTLAND from me for peace??? AI Infantry and artillery in land battles simply not doing what 17th century units of those types should and usually just bug out. It took CA ages before they even managed to patch it enough so enemies, like France, would actually have a go at attacking England. And then they quit. Sieges are woeful and totally unhistorical. Climbing hooks, anyone? It all looks quite nice, even today, especially ships, but it's all kinda basic. BUT if you're an ardent fan of 17th century warfare, you will ignore all that just to see all your little stick men standing in colourful uniforms taking turns to shoot each other, and your beloved artillery roll up to lay waste to oncoming enemies with grapeshot which is why this game is still popular- It's all they really have in the PC gaming sphere... This is why you're seeing positive reviews that refuse to divulge the reality- I understand, but people reading for the truth facts will be misled, so I supply some context. Oh and Mods, yes, Mods. Mods are the way to go to give this some true life. Modders have done their level best over years to try and improve things and, in most cases, have done a reasonable job. The game gets a thumbs up for modders work, On its own it would be thumbs down, really. CA;s work is just the base bread and Mods are the rest of the tasty pizza. I suppose worth it for a look at a super sale price, you may enjoy it as I have sometimes. That's it.
