Reviews
Would be cool if they updated the game more often. For a couple of years they mostly add cosmetic changes.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Jul 24 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game keeps crashing. Even when I attempt to load in. IT IS NOT WORTH THE $30. It's not my pc because I play Banner lord on the max and not once has it every crashed on me. I've even tried to turn down the frames, and graphics on this game and it still crashes. Don't buy this game if you want to deal with it crashing constantly. I can't tell you how many times I've lost progress on here because of the crashes. I had high hopes for this game but now it's just sitting in my library collecting dust.
This is a very Unique RTS with excellent sound and graphics. The unit models are really the core focus of how well Total Conflict has been developed. A fictional setting with fictional nations but real Western, Soviet and Eastern military hardware. The ability to customize your nations armory with any vehicle or weapon is about the most fun I've ever had in an RTS. The battles play out in real time, the types of combat you may face will heavily rely on the tech system which is driven by the years in game. The options affect how the game operates, I've tweaked alot of the options over time to favor my playstyle but changing a few varibles and you will have a totally different game experience. Total Conflict: Resistance is a must have for anyone that has ever played any type of RTS. The battles alone are one reason to buy this game. I'm looking forward to the continued development of Total Conflict, mostly new weapons and vehicles.
I'm guessing its supposed to be like Total War but modern. And tbf it is like that but they made the UI worse, added a confusing resource system, made the combat have A TICKET SYSTEM so combat is repetitive battles that take way too long to finish. (imagine if TW had a ticket system for units in combat and a really hard fought siege defence just completely did not matter because another wave of enemies just spawn in). This game has dlcs meant to steal the money of military equipment fanboys while not actually improving the game. This game hits a niche that really needs to be explored, just not like this. It's unreal engine slop with a fun premise, terrible execution. If you are desperate for a TW in a modern setting, maybe this game is worth it, but honestly just don't bother as all the bits that make a TW game fun are just absent from this thing which is trying to be TW: Modern Warfare.
DLC for a game in early access? really?
Do you enjoy sitting there and clicking build with a game on accelerated speed to gather resources? Might as well be called an idle clicker with some fighting. Campaign is no where near as enjoyable as the video makes it seem.
I didnt understand why this game tries to go for the harder, complex and a bit weird part of trying to do all at once. Its an RTS, a "map strategy", and an FPS game at the same time. Wish it gone for the path of "Mount & Blade but with modern firearms" path.
I cannot recomend the game. theres like 10+ resources to manage, no clear indication of what you researchm no clear indication of the day passing excluding the sunlight on the map, time seems like a suggestion, there isnt a clear way to tell what you own and what you need to find/ research and the deplomacy menu feels like its tact on at the end. cant say that its not a bad concept but this game has been in development for 2 years as of this review and this is frankly just a mess.
what a royal piece of $#!t this game is without a tutorial. Spent an hour just surfin menus to no avail, finally turned to Youtube only to find a bunch of garbage videos telling me what to do but not how to do it. Too many 30 minute videos with 3 minutes of targeted info that doesn't pertain to me. it'll take hours to sort through garbage videos to find the one I need let alone how many times I'd have to do this... NO Thanks!
