Tomb Raider Game of the Year

Overall grade: B- (95%completion) Enjoyable? Yes Recommended? To those into action-adventure, cinematic type games with decent story and combat Replayability: low—I may or may not revisit this game in the future but I’m definitely excited to play the rest of the trilogy ++environmental design: a variety of beautiful views and interesting environments, eg forest, caves, cliffs, mountains, shipwrecks (old wooden ships as well as modern, metal ships) etc. ++atmosphere: a sense of isolation, intensified by weather conditions (dark, rainy, snowy) and environments (mentioned above) +combat and general gameplay: some escape sequences, platforming and environmental puzzles, but it’s mostly combat heavy. Nothing complex but it did pose a challenge and felt great to play +progression: unlock weapons, weapon and skill upgrades. Again, pretty straightforward, but satisfying to unlock imo. You unlock the majority of these by following the main storyline and end up feeling well-equipped towards mid/late game +/-story: great concept, decent delivery. It seemed a bit over-the-top to me, specifically at the beginning, but does a nice job of setting the tone and builds intrigue over time. Overall good but not great +/-Lara’s development: it’s not all bad, but the constant “I can’t do this” when she’s clearly doing it as well as the “reluctant hero” trope (which is acceptable when executed correctly) soured things a bit for me. Not bad but nothing special +/-voice acting: good overall but inconsistent. The pace of conversations and overall acting can sometimes feel rushed or just a bit amateurish, specifically from the supporting cast -underwhelming deaths: not much to say here—most deaths lacked emotional impact Steam Deck compatibility: ✅ ~5hrs of battery with custom graphical settings @45fps  Widescreen ✔️ Offline playable ✔️

Han pensado en algo mejor que Uncharted? Simple y sencillamente Tomb Raider...-

Gutes Spiel für abenteuerlustige Leute, die aber nicht all zu viele Rätsel lösen wollen und eher bei Combat und Aktion bleiben wollen. Die genannten Schwerpunkte (Adventure, Action, Female Protagonist, Puzzle, usw.) des Spiels wurden gut ausgeführt und umgesetzt. Lara Croft ist mit Abstand einer meiner Lieblingsprotagonistinnen und das Spielen hat mir nochmal klargemacht wieso. Sie denkt nicht zweimal drüber nach ihr Leben zu riskieren wenn das Leben ihrer Freunde oder Kollegen auf dem Spiel ist. Auch in kniffligen Situationen lässt sie sich nicht von ihrer Angst kontrollieren und bleibt vernünftig und bei klarem Verstand. Eine starke Protagonistin wie sie kriegt man nicht immer zum Erleben, weswegen es erfrischend ist so eine wie sie in Aktion zu sehen. Dieses Spiel zeigt ihre tolle Freundschaft zu Leuten wie Sam und wie sie mit dem Verlust von Alex umgeht. Allerdings sollte man sicherstellen, dass man V-Sync angeschaltet hat, um Komplikationen beim button-mashing vorzubeugen. Eine weitere Sache bei der man sich beschweren könnte ist, dass man manchmal sich zum letzten Checkpoint zurücksetzen musste, da manchmal die Szenen/Cutscenes sich nicht abgespielt haben.

This game is the first solo game I've ever finished. It got me so locked in! The story, AMAZING. The puzzles, GREAT. I felt like a badass playing this game! The platforms are crazy, I had to stop breathing lmao. Killing the enemies excite me the most! I thank the awesome devs for this wonderful game. My goal is to finish the other two Tomb Raider games muehehehe (P.S. I HATE YOU WHITMAN!!! >:///)

Es un juego increíble, vale la pena cada minuto, sin duda un juego que repetiría en un futuro. Los gráficos son muy bonitos, la historia es muy interesante, es un juego que te hace querer más y que no quieres que acabe. Me encontré varias veces diciendo "una misión más" antes de cerrar el juego. Los paisajes son hermosos, te dan ganas de quedarte admirándolos y continuar explorando el mundo que tiene por ofrecerte Sus mecánicas se sienten fluidas, y son bastante divertidas. Más que un juego de saquear tumbas, es uno de acción e historia, te encontrarás bastante seguido con enemigos de los que te tendrás que defender, contando con distintas armas para eso, siendo el combate en general una experiencia que gusta El parkour no es ni muy fácil ni difícil, te sientes como en una película de acción. Es divertido conseguir los coleccionables, y la historia engancha muy fácil. Recomiendo muchísimo este juego, rápidamente ganó un lugar en mi corazón debido a su historia, sus mecánicas, y una protagonista tan increíble como lo es Lara. Lo único malo que tengo por decir, es el tema de los logros. Tiene MUCHOS logros en el modo multiplayer, modo que se encuentra bastante muerto debido a la antiguedad del juego. Como persona que le gusta completar sus juegos favoritos al 100%, este pedazo me parece algo injusto. Quitando este hecho, sin duda merece el título de game of the year. Es el primer juego de Tomb Raider que pruebo, y de verdad me pareció una experiencia fascinante. Sin duda seguiré con la saga ❤︎ "Los mitos siempre contienen algo de verdad en ellos"
