A real treat for Witcher fans — and not just those who know the games, but especially readers of the original books. What serves as a prequel to the games is, for Sapkowski’s saga, a story woven directly into familiar events, expanding and enriching the canon. The plot itself is fairly straightforward: war, betrayal, gathering allies. What makes it genuinely enjoyable, however, are the characters — lively, well‑written, and consistently engaging. Add to that numerous references to both the games and the books, occasional humor, and even nods to other card games (the Hearthstone one was my favorite), and you get a remarkably satisfying mix. On the mechanical side, the game revolves primarily around Gwent‑style battles, but it also offers plenty of puzzles with predefined hands. Throughout the story, your deck is repeatedly reshaped by new characters and upgrades, which keeps the gameplay fresh and prevents it from becoming repetitive.

Классная игра. В ведьмаке ни разу не играл в гвинт, а здесь пришлось... И это было прикольно. Даже не ожидал что карточная игра может так затянуть. Интересная история, музыка которую потом хочется в плейлист добавить, классные персонажи, Вообще рекомендую!

Masterpiece, CDPR should really make a saga out of this (which, if I remember right, was actually planned and later cancelled due to a series of questionable decisions). Great story and excellent single-player adaptation of Gwent. Music, voice acting and overall graphics are impeccable — I can't find a single flaw except for the lack of a second chapter. I'll probably have to play it again.
