It's a really chill game and easy to get into. There's a few snags in the beginning that got me, like that you have to collect trash in the bins before serving all the customers or it doesn't empty for the next day. Otherwise it's been super smooth and I like the progression as you get more items and unlock more rooms. There's a funny frustration from the customers actually buying all your stuff that you placed so nicely on the shelves. I sometimes feel like Bernard Black from the Black Books TV show thinking "running a shop would be great if it wasn't for these damn customers". It has some very specific styles you can unlock and collect. I understand people wanting more variety but I'm glad that the devs had a strong aesthetic vision. It transitions well from the bright colourful elements in the game the Witchy and dark style. Everything has a sense of whimsy and fun, the colours, patterns, item titles like "Game Bob" and the light-hearted dialogues. I love playing it after a long workday to relax but also on my days off when I do some more focused redecorating in the shop. It gives me that dopamine hit of randomness from opening boxes and trying to collect certain items but also has space to be creative. Overall just what I needed right now in my life!

I'm not a Gamer, and I've played this for 25 hours. It's a perfect combo of store simulator, sorting and organizing, and decorating. The story is also very sweet. I love it and will 1000% get any DLC that comes out so I can keep decorating. My critiques below are either nitpicky or small things! I wish there was a room with a function like a "museum" in Animal Crossing where you can store your hoard of locked items (maybe an office?) And it honestly kind of annoyed me that I couldn't change the theme of the check-out desk. Aside from that, my main gripe is that some of the items labelled as "queer" are limited to a pretty specific queer subculture (aside from obvious rainbow items, they are toys or items from an in-game anima/manga IP). Who says tools or electronics can't be queer? So I wish this category were limited to rainbow items (and bandanas/ other flagging items) only, or else expanded greatly.
