About
Play as Molly, a successful startup founder who helps people organize their lives by organizing their spaces.
In Neat!, you visit clients overwhelmed by chaos, clutter, and emotional weight. Your job is simple. Help them feel calm again. Organize, sort, and place objects with care. Get to know the people who live among them. Turn disorder into neat, comforting spaces, one object at a time.
Begin in a grandmother's garden, where Molly's tidying service takes its first steps. Help put a neighborhood library back together after a quiet chamber music evening somehow became a rock concert. Bring order to a VTuber's streaming room before her first live show.
Some spaces hold a little more mystery. A living room its owner swears is haunted. A room belonging to someone who has everything he needs, without ever stepping outside.
Others are part of everyday life. A single mom's kitchen. A Japanese konbini on the night shift. And one last space, the most personal of all, waiting for you to discover it.
Every client has a different reason for needing a hand. As you sort through their belongings, discover the personal stories told through the things they keep.
Organize 8 hand-crafted locations, each with its own client and story
Sort and place a wide variety of unique, interactive objects
Discover the lives behind the clutter through everyday belongings
Bring care and order to gardens, homes, workspaces, and more
Relax with a chill, carefully curated soundtrack
Steam Deck-verified and well-tested player experience

Was very excited about this game after playing the demo, then the game itself is full of Harry Potter references (both the book series and Hogwarts Legacy). It feels like intentional support of JKR, and I refuse to give my money to a transphobic developer. There are other cozy organizing/cleaning games that support human rights, buy one of those instead.
very disappointed to see references to the harry potter series on the very first level. "wizard book" could've been anything, and yet you've chosen to make it reference books by a woman who spouts nothing but hatred. trans rights are more important than harry potter - do better

I really really wanted to like this game. The art style is cute and the gameplay is just what I like. However, placing items is buggy which makes it hard to get things neatly put away. I found myself just haphazardly putting stuff wherever because I wanted to move on. As other reviews have said, the item repetition, especially of the Harry Potter referenced books, is disappointing.
If you're looking to boycott anything Harry Potter related; skip this one. Lots of very obvious references.
I have platinumed Unpacking, A Little to the Left, Hidden Through Time-adjacent cozy puzzles, and most of the “put the house back together” shelf. This should have been an easy recommend. The art is cute, Molly’s premise is fine, the soundtrack is pleasant, and eight hand-crafted rooms is a good size on paper. Then you actually try to put something down. The core loop is broken by one design decision: you cannot park an item. No dropping it on the floor as a staging pile. No sending it back to the box. No holding area outside the room. Whatever you pull out is now a live object competing for space in a collision-heavy isometric grid. When the big furniture arrives late, and it does, the floor is already a minefield of watering cans, books, and tiny junk you were forced to commit. You cannot make a temporary mess in order to make a real one later. Unpacking understood this. You empty the box, you scatter, you iterate. Neat! treats every grab like a permanent placement, then punishes you for the clutter it just created. Placement itself is janky. Small objects fight the snap. Things already inside cabinets get stuck and will not come out. Items clip behind furniture (sandwich behind the fridge on the streamer stage is the one that made me laugh and then refund-check the clock). Rugs and mats want to be first; if you already put stuff on the floor, you get to play “pick everything up with no put-back.” Completing a room becomes hunt-the-last-percent because one cactus or one document has an invisible correct shelf and the UI will not tell you which. Storage logic does not match the art. A huge fridge that holds a handful of food items. Shared props recycled across clients so Grandma’s gardening kit and the same HP-flavored books keep following you from house to house. No cleaning layer, so the room can be “organized” and still look grimy. That would be forgiveable if the hands felt good. They do not. Compared with the genre this is chasing: Unpacking lets you live with a messy floor while you learn the space. That is the fantasy. A Little to the Left is strict, but the rules are readable and the reset is instant. The better cozy organizers assume you will misplace things and give you a cheap undo / a box / the floor. Neat! assumes you already know the correct order of every object and that your mouse precision is perfect. For a game sold as calm, that is the opposite of quality of life. I wanted to like Molly. I wanted another platinum. Instead I spent the session fighting cabinets, late sofas, and a design that refuses to let you put the damn thing down.
A very cute and quick game. It has 8 levels in total and I loved taking my time to get every level perfect! Very calming, just wish there were more levels!
unintuitive, clunky design with harry potter references. The market is very saturated with similar games that are simply better.
I like the idea of this game but putting down anything is so unsatisfying. Found myself having to take out a whole box of yarn in level one because the last one just wouldn't go in. This game feels like it's missing a like snapping feature. It should understand that this yarn goes in this box ans snap itself in with out me wiggling around the mouse just right. Was also struggling with books. Books rotation by default isn't to stand up. You have ram it against the wall of the shelves but even then it's 50/50 if it will stay standing up. Wiggle the mouse to much off the shelf = laying down book. Maybe in the future this will get fixed but right now this game isn't worth it.
