super condensed RPG that still finds time to endear you to its cast! it's persona influences are obvious, but getting to play a story about relationships that is as messy and exciting as the real thing is the rare treat that sets it apart

Thirsty Suitors is one of the weirdest and most refreshing games I've played. It's a chaotic mix of turn-based combat, cooking, skateboarding, romance, family drama, and cultural identity; and somehow it all comes together. What stood out to me most is the queer representation. Jala is a queer Indian-American woman, but the game doesn't reduce her identity to a checkbox or make her a perfect representation of anything. She's messy, selfish, funny, insecure, and makes plenty of mistakes. The other queer characters are also given their own experiences rather than being treated as interchangeable. I especially appreciated that the game can talk about coming out, family expectations, rejection, relationships, and cultural identity without making the entire story miserable. The queer characters are allowed to be complicated people, not just tragic stories or inspirational figures. The gameplay is just as unconventional. The "arguments as turn-based battles" concept is hilarious and surprisingly effective, although the combat can get repetitive. The cooking and skateboarding sections are fun, but it's definitely the characters, writing, and presentation that carry the game. It's colorful, funny, genuinely heartfelt, and unapologetically queer. If you're looking for a game with representation that actually lets its characters be flawed, ridiculous, and human, Thirsty Suitors is absolutely worth checking out. Also the game runs great at 4K Maxed Out with 120 FPS 9/10 — weird, heartfelt, queer, and unforgettable.
Really fun game with good storytelling. I didn't feel bored for a bit, though it's a little overpriced.
好玩 很适合手残党
通关了，我为什么要玩这个游戏，我感觉玩完之后不但没骄傲起来反而自卑了呢？没啥代入感，NPC角色个顶个重量级，个个神人，不好好走路总翻跟头做瑜伽的，有一些NPC的支线我是一点都不想做也不想了解他们，女主n个人追求但我是真get不到，全篇没有好看的人剧情大致都是讲人际关系的，面对他人的追求要进行和解战斗，打赢了就和解了，战斗也没啥深度感觉也是试错穷举，整体都是jrpg走向包饺子剧情，笑话感觉也没啥意思。要是把所有角色全都换成日式妹子估计能好评如潮，欧美那点破元素褒姒也一点不夸张，玩法做饭滑板战斗但基本都是qte，体量也不大我这就通关了，散key价格还可以，咋说呢算是通关图鉴+1了。 PS. 这游戏IGN9分。。。。（神经病！）
