About
A small adventure with a big story. Theropods takes around 2-3 hours to finish. Perfect for an afternoon or a relaxed weekend.
Wordless point-and-click adventure — no dialogue, no subtitles, just animation, sound, and visual storytelling.
An unlikely friendship in a hostile world — a wordless story of bravery, trust, and survival.
Brains over brawn — outsmart dinosaurs, distract barbarians, and puzzle your way out of deadly situations.
A vivid prehistoric world — trek through jungles, valleys, canyons, caves, and wild dinosaur territory.
Gorgeous hand-drawn pixel art brought to life with cinematic frame-by-frame animation.
An immersive soundtrack blending tribal rhythms with eerie sci-fi synthesizers.
A glowing stone crashes from the sky into a young hunter’s village. Its arrival draws a bloodthirsty tribe, who attack the settlement and enslave her people.
Barely escaping into the jungle, she discovers the stone’s true origin: a stranded spaceman whose damaged pod depends on it.
Together, this unlikely pair must cross dinosaur-infested lands to free her tribe and find a way to send him home.
Theropods is a classic point-and-click adventure built around visual logic. Watch how characters move, how creatures behave, and how each scene changes as you poke, prod, and experiment.
Instead of fighting your way through danger, you solve your way through it — distracting predators, avoiding enemies, triggering reactions, and finding clever ways past situations too dangerous to face head-on.
Theropods replaces dialogue trees, long conversations, and text walls with gestures, expressions, sound, and visual storytelling. The story unfolds through action: what characters do, what they notice, and what changes around them.
With no subtitles or text-heavy exposition to translate, the adventure is built to be understood by players anywhere in the world.

A really charming and fun game. From its theme to its story, I had a great time. I played it on the Steam Deck. It already works well with the mouse functionality, but there are currently no hotkeys for Hints and also some of the "quick-time" events might take a small while to get through because you need to click inventory, click on the item and them rush to click on whatever prompt there is. But it never became a real nuisance. All in all, a really good game worth checking out!
Playing on an M2 Max MacBook Pro, running macOS 15.7.3 I CANNOT recommend the game to anyone who intends to play on a Mac, the game has hard-locked on me TWICE, and the only way to quit has been by force-quitting via Activity Monitor. The first time was in chapter one which, as I was quite near the beginning, I started again - and I do mean started again because, despite the 'save' icon having appeared on the screen three times, the game hadn't been saving (this is why I don't like games with no manual save system). Had there been a demo available, I might have found this out before purchasing the full game, but there isn’t (or at least if there is, it's no longer available on Steam). The second time was in chapter three, and there was no way I was starting over that time - so i've had to ask for a refund but, because it crashed right on the two-hour deadline, I probably won’t get my money back. I don't believe the game was play-tested - or at least not extensively play-tested - on macOS. Gameplay-wise, it's not a bad game, but the puzzles all have the same mechanic which, for a game which has been in development for five years, is pretty inexcusable. Also, there's no text - at all, I realise there's no real dialogue, but deaf and hearing-impaired people like to play games, too, and I think they'd be left pretty baffled, because it cab be pretty confusing when you can hear the characters grunts. I don't usually take a punt on games on release day, unless I know the developer well - I've never played anything by this developer before, so it was a gamble. It's bundled with The Drifter, which is one of my favourite games of recent times, and that's kind of what pushed me towards giving it a go - everything-wise, it's nothing like The Drifter. I just hope Steam will be benevolent and give me a refund. If the developer fixes these issues, I might think about giving it another go but, for now, on macOS, it's unplayable. Avoid if you intend to play on Mac.

I've been waiting for this game for a long time and couldn't wait to play it! It didn't disappoint. :)
11/10 ! Perfect example that you don't need a billion dollar budget to create a nice story type game. Loved every second of it. Highly recommended.

Very good point and click, the story, the visual style and the music are great. It only takes about 3 hours to complete, but it has a lot of charm
This game has a very nice look and is very charming but the gameplay drags. I don't believe this game is worth its price even on Sale. No offence to the Devs. I want to give this a thumbs up because I do like the passion behind it.. but I have to be honest. There are a lot of other point & click games out there that offer more and cost less. One that came out recently was The Silver Crow. It's a very high quality P&C for a great price. Theropods is ok, it's just too expensive IMO. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbjIy1BDNpE&t=3099s
