About
In a world where mysterious plants are spreading all over the earth, emitting toxic spores as they grow, a small group of survivors seeks shelter on the back of a giant, wandering creature they call 'Onbu'.
Become their leader, build their settlement and form a symbiotic relationship with Onbu to survive together in this hostile, yet beautiful post-apocalyptic world.
A functioning village is the basis of your survival. Build your settlement and expand it over Onbu’s back. Plan production chains and optimise them to utilise the limited space as efficiently as possible. Create a society that can overcome any challenge.
Living on the back of another organism comes with its own set of challenges. Will you live in symbiosis, bond with Onbu and survive on mutual trust? Or will you become a parasite, only aiming to ensure a better life for your villagers? The choice is yours.
Continuously adapt your village as you travel through a multitude of different biomes, each with its unique climate zones, opportunities and threats. Scout your environments and send out foraging missions to gather rare resources and ancient artefacts.
Remnants of the old world hold knowledge that has long been forgotten, but can be unearthed by your villagers. Find and research these technologies, but use them wisely, as progress can be a double-edged sword.
Ensure the survival of both your villagers and your Onbu, even though poisonous spores, merciless weather, bloodsucking parasites and many more challenges mean that the odds are often stacked against you.

Reviews
Great game. The giant creature, Onbu, is surprisingly cute. The game play is fun and varied. Managing the village, the Onbu, and the route breaks up the gameplay, making things interesting and often frantic. I play quite slowly, but managed to reach the ending in around 20 hrs.
чуть не умер от голода минимум 4 раза, почти закончил на той же ноте из-за отравления, эта фигня не хотела меня слушать, из-за чего почти все задохнулись, и это только режим обучения

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game onbu is cute
Beautiful music and environment. You have lost trust...
As always, wish there was an "Informational" response. I recommend because it *is* a good game doing creative and interesting things. But there's the key, interesting. I like the mechanics around the giant creature you live on, and how you send out groups to get materials to fulfill needs. The story itself is mid, and the art mixed with the writing just makes me want to shut this off and go watch a Ghibli film instead. Solid 7/10, buy it if you're interested, but It's a very "meh" good game.
Cute city builder, with a lot of balancing factors. Very Miyazaki theme and storyline.
Great citybuilder with well balanced micro- and macromanagement. Beautiful art and music which fits well into the post-apocalyptic setting. (I won't mention the Ghibli movie it reminds me of). The story is a companion on your journey through the biomes. The game on normal difficulty targets the casual player, while the survival difficulty is more unforgiving. Onwards, dear Onbu, only one more crossroads!
Great base building game but with the added mechanics of having to take care of a giant creature your base is positioned on. I hate tutorials but struggled to find a good balance playing until I finally gave in and played the tutorial. You technically have finite resources to begin with but that is resolved further in the game. Overall, a good game to spend time on. A bit unique in the sense you're managing two different "ecosystems". Pros: Giant dino-like creature is your land Poop is evacuated and reused Sacrifice villagers Inject creatures with drugs against their will Simultaneously killing and keeping your land happy and alive Cons: No cats Some micromanagement Villagers can be needy
Schade.
