Since I have done reviews on the first 2 entries I will try not to restate here what I said there and instead focus on what this does different from them. I understand that there are a number of people who feel this is a let down based on those and while I understand why and will include some criticisms Personally I've feel like these three just get better and better. Pros: The new major characters including the protagonist further explore the themes of the first 2 in a new way. This has a major element that I won't spoil here but I will say was to these games and work incredibly well. The increased use of Flashback adds a lot as we are making decisions both in the past and present and they affect no no. Another twist to the way the player relates to Clementine albeit it is not the strongest yet. This one did not ask me awkwardly assemble a square as the second one did in a feature that I'm honestly pretty sure I never understood how to do and eventually the game would take pity on me and let me move on. Slightly more variety to gameplay. cons: So to be clear I don't think any of the following is a huge deal but maybe they are for someone reading this review so I'm including then then them: Shorter than the first 2. Less of Clementine and has a question that we really want an answer to that is certainly not answered for a good chunk of this. Clementine's characterization is weaker than the first two. For those who want puzzles and Hub sections in this series this has very little in that regard. Still the occasional graphical glitch albeit very few invisible walls remain. strongly recommended to fans of the first two
