This should've been a great success, alas it did not deliver on itrs promise and it is very much more an idle game in disguise with minimal interactions.
There is so much wrong with this game that it's easier to say what's good about it. It launches! Actually that may not be a positive because once it does launch it does everything it can to frustrate you. There's a long period where aliens attack your planet every 5 minutes, destroying buildings. After an hour of that a massive alien thing comes destroying everything in its path. If you manage to still want to play after this be prepared for building constantly deteriorating and crumbling. So you'll go around either "rejuvenating" or rebuilding these building -- that is if you have enough points after trying to keep your "nuggets" (people) alive -- or you'll be rejuvenating your people. Even if you have enough water (which is difficult enough with the constant freezing over of the planet) your people will drink out of lakes, get sick, and die on the street so other people can stumble across the dead bodies and get sick. Don't expect cemetaries or hospitals to help with any of this. Even if you get through the trap of the cement factory needing steel to complete, and the steel factory needing cement to complete (how do you get around that? trade with the aliens who were laying waste to your planet -- they'll give you the cement or steel you need in exchange for sending a natural disaster, which hopefully doesn't destroy the other resources you need) so that you can build cemetaries and hospitals, your nuggets won't use them. Nuggets seem to prefer drinking toxic lake water and dying in the streets instead of drinking clean water, going to hospitals when they are sick and being buried in cemetaries after a long life. Nope, it's dead nuggets in the street infecting other nuggets. Usually the game's developer would recognize that the mechanics are wonky and adjust them so a quarter of your population doesn't die because the planet inexplicably freezes over. But not these developers, they got frustrated with this game too, and have abandoned it. There were some features promised, but that was two years ago. Maybe the developers drank from a toxic lake, got sick and died, infecting this game with f'ed up mechanics on their way out. Save your money, save your time. The music at least tries to be calming, but that's not enough to make this game bearable. TRLD; the game mechanics of this abandonware are fubar. Do not buy.
I pre ordered this game when it was still a concept and its fine. I enjoy it. Its abandoned and a lot of stuff was clearly rushed towards the end. I can recommend it at $15 but no more.
I'm only 41 hours into this game as of this review, which is generally a pretty short time for the games that I play. That alone has me somewhat worried about how long I can put into this game, as getting into colonizing other planets seems fairly rapid, and running out of technologies to discover happens fairly quickly. The creators seem to have gone down a couple of "rabbit holes" in what they'd like the extended gameplay to look like, whether it's restarting the game and getting new options for planets, races etc; exploring using the subterranean, or colonizing multiple planets in space. Maybe getting that figured out would help the players know what to expect as far as end game play goes. I would strongly recommend that the creators come up with a way to manage various planetary colonies easier. The governors and managers help a great deal, but there are some resources that are pulled directly from the planet and run out. You have no warning when it happens and come back to the planet with a nasty surprise. I would recommend a late stage tech/building that allows you to collect Iron, Stone, Gas, Oil infinitely, perhaps with advanced chemistry. That way your planets can continue without your constant management. I would also recommend an expedition manager, it's a great part of the game, but it gets ignored due to the constant need for high level resources and constant need for attention. Overall, I recommend this game, it has tremendous potential, and I'm hoping that the developers can keep going on it, they may just need to be monitored a little closer! LOL
Создал город геев на земле, а потом и на луне. Впринципе мне нравиться
This is scam. They never finished it. For the longest time it was barely"Tiny Planet Sim" but it certainly has nothing to do with an universe as the name suggests. I wished I get my money back.
