The Star Named EOS

I had sm fun playing, the hint button was very helpful at times when i was lazy to use my brain. the girl was kinda random lol and i thought the main character was a girl but its ok. overall its a bitter sweet story and recommend others to play.

A short and simple puzzle game, The Star Named Eos is as much of a narrative game as it is a puzzle game. Clocking in at around 3 hours, The Star Named Eos is about as long as it wants to be. The core gameplay consists of a few different things: • Looking around the environment you’re in • Finding the things you need to interact with • Figuring out what it is you’re supposed to do with them • Oftentimes, assembling a photographic setup that resembles another photograph you have, putting parts from the scene into the shot to set it up just so It’s pretty simple, but it gets the job done overall. The problem is, this game really lacks the extra step necessary to transform this from a three hour sort of time waster to an experience that you’ll really remember. The puzzles are decent, but not superlative; the story has a neat twist in it, but what surrounds it is just kind of okay. I didn’t really get to know the characters in any sort of meaningful way, with everyone having at best two notes, and often just one. The game isn’t bad, but it isn’t memorable, either; it is going to be one of those games that in a year I won’t even remember playing until I look at it more closely. Overall, I can’t really recommend this. The game isn’t bad, but I don’t think it actually passes the threshold into actively good. It’s just… okay. Decent. But unexceptional.
