The Stanley Parable is a first person exploration game. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
The Stanley Parable

Positives:
+ Cool TSP demo that is a standalone experience (highly reccomended if you missed out on it!) + Quite good graphics (for its time) + Nice sounds and music + The voiceover is excellent + Funny and interesting + The meta perspective will f#ck with your mind + Not linear, you make your own choices + A lot of alternative endings (about 20 in total) + Achievements + Easter eggs
Negatives:
- If you only play it once its 15 minutes long - Can feel monotonous and repetetive after a while - Some achivements are just annoying and unneccessary (especially the last two) - You will most likely need a guide if you want to explore all possible endings and get all achievements - To walk the same looking corridors over and over while listening to the same lines can get exhausting
Conclusion:
Lets get this out of the way first: The game is a bit overhyped to be honest. Dont get me wrong though, its a good game, but its not fantastic. Its fun for what it is and does, but its not a game most people will play for hours and hours in one go. All the resets and restarts only to hear the same lines again and again (with some exceptions) can get tiresome in the long run. So should you try it? Yeah, because there arent many games like this. Its unique, but that doesnt make it super-über-fantastic as many claim it is. But its enjoyable, as long as you dont have massive expectations. And remember to take some breaks in between all the resets/restarts.
Total Score: 7/10
