Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best BR #84, worst PL #86 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Recommended. A detective game that trusts the player completely: no quest markers, no waypoints, just clues, archives and a city map. Conclusions are deduced in the mind palace rather than selected, and finding the next location means cross-referencing witness statements, marriage licences at city hall and old newspaper issues to derive an address, then walking there street by street. Moral choices genuinely branch how cases resolve, and the fog-drowned Lovecraftian atmosphere saturates everything. The friction: side cases reuse identical house layouts back to back, combat is functional at best with spongey enemy types, and the Mind's Eye investigation mode arbitrarily locks while enemies are nearby. A long, meaty investigation that never once tells the audience where to go.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 76.75/day in the week to Jul 15 → 3.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Sinking City felt like a natural fit for me, because it has so much of what I loved in Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One — just with a dark, Lovecraftian twist. The open world was a joy to explore, full of detail, atmosphere, and that heavy, unsettling vibe that keeps you on edge. The investigations are as strong as ever, combining the fun of following clues with the tension of a world that always feels one step away from madness. The main storyline hooked me right away, and the side cases balanced serious mysteries with stranger, more surreal threads that fit perfectly into the Lovecraft-inspired setting. I didn’t care much for the combat (just like in Chapter One), but honestly, it was never what the game was about. What mattered was the atmosphere, the story, and the feeling that every choice and deduction pulled me deeper into a world I couldn’t look away from. For me, The Sinking City was everything I wanted: investigations, puzzles, exploration, and a world dripping with cosmic horror. It’s Sherlock Holmes in a Lovecraftian skin, and I loved every minute of it. Thanks Frogwares! :)
I played the pre-remastered version all the way through and am playing the remastered version now. I don't really see the difference, but I'm sure the graphics are better. It doesn't matter, this is not a game that's about graphics. It's not about optimized special forces style combat or efficient traveling around a map either. It's about being in a kind of sequel to The Shadow Over Innsmouth and it's great. The environments are so disgusting you can practically smell the rotting harbor stink, the setting is sprawling and as tedious to get around as a flooded city should be, the characters are weird and gross, the fish-faced Innsmouthers are done really well, the story is Lovecraftian, and the detective parts are similar to the company's Sherlock Holmes series. This is one of the top Lovecraft games made so far. Probably the people who don't like this game are have not read Lovecraft (reading is hard) and should be playing CoD or that one DIsney game. I did encounter a crash early on which was concerning, but I turned down a couple of graphics settings a notch and haven't seen another. Unreal engine, which seems to be crashy in a lot of games.
main game is worth it on sale dlc not really liked it well enough, though i wish the endings weren't so lackluster i feel like instead of having some mid gun gameplay they could have instead made the investigation system more robust and focused on that instead i still had fun i want to kiss johannes, daddy hastur please... is there a queen in yellow...
